8.30.26 Providencia Elementary School Newsletter
Dear Providencia Families,
Last week was a shining example of what makes Providencia such a strong, connected, and caring school community. Thank you to every parent, extended family and community member who showed up, supported, and participated— you all continue to make an incredible difference for our Panthers.
Thank you to all families who attended our TB Clinic with Nurse Rebecca, an important step to be cleared volunteer. Your commitment to keeping our campus safe and healthy ensures that our students can learn, play, and thrive every day. The next step before you can volunteer in your child's classroom, ceramics classes or chaperone field trips is to attend one of our mandatory Volunteer Trainings. Please scroll below for more information.
Back to School Night was a wonderful success thanks to your energy, engagement, and support. Your presence sends a powerful message to students—that their learning matters and that we are all in this together. If you missed Back to School Night, simply reach out to your child's teacher and they will share their slidedecks/presentations on how to help your child be successful this year. We also appreciate the parents who joined us for our GATE Parent Meeting with our curriculum specialist, Ms. Topalian. Your partnership helps us nurture curiosity, challenge student thinking, and expand opportunities for our gifted learners!
Our Apex Fundraiser and Walk‑A‑Thon as an absolute blockbuster! Thank you to our incredible PTA, our dedicated parent volunteers, and all the spectators who cheered, encouraged, and celebrated our Panthers. Your enthusiasm created a joyful, high‑spirited event that motivated students to do their best and reminded them that their community is behind them every step of the way.
Your support of Apex will directly impact classroom experiences, enrichment opportunities, and the vibrant school culture we are building together. We are grateful for every donation you made and every smile you shared. Cheers to another PAWSome week!
Respectfully,
Principal Celeste

4th and 5th Grade Safety Valet Program Starts Tomorrow!
In order to improve the safety and efficiency of the morning traffic flow, we are pleased to introduce the Safety Valet Program starting tomorrow morning, Monday, August 31.
Each morning parents who drive their children to school will continue to proceed single file through a coned-off area on Pacific Avenue and stop close to the curb. When parents reach the drop-off area, 4th and 5th grade student valets will assist by opening car doors and helping children to the sidewalk. Student valets will only assist cars from the curbside. All of our student valets have been trained by our Burbank Police Department.
Thank you for your assistance in supporting a truly beneficial program for our school community!
