Hello Boggess Friends!

We kicked off last week by celebrating our wonderful teachers and principal. We appreciate all their work and dedication to our children.

On Tuesday, May 3rd, the Plano PTA Council hosted a Reflections Awards ceremony. They awarded students in PISD from Pre-K to 12th grade who advanced in the Reflections Art contest this past fall. Three Boggess students were recognized for their achievement in art; Ivey R., Lasya S., and Juliana L. We are so proud of our artists, congratulations! Scroll for picture.

Walk, Bike or Roll to school day was Wednesday, May 4th! Thank you, everyone, for your support to teach our children traffic safety and healthy habits. See photos below.

Thursday, May 5th, our PTA welcomed back Boggess Bengals who are now High school seniors at the Senior Reception Ceremony. It was great to see everyone revisit Boggess as young adults, past PTA members, past teachers, and principals. We were excited to award our PTA Scholarship to Chloe L. Boggs. Congratulations to her and all the seniors for their accomplishments. We wish you the best as you venture off into your future colleges & careers. See pictures below.

Finally, on Friday, May 6th, we had the "BEST DAY EVER!" as many have stated at Field Day!!! Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, awesome Coaches, Shannon Cox for leading the effort, Claudia Prasauskas, Jennifer Colvin, and Stephanie Miller. Your hard work was evident and much appreciated. This was our first field day in 2 years and a wonderful success!

We also held our final General meeting for PTA at field day and welcomed our new board members. Our current board will be closing out the year and helping new members transition into their roles over the next few weeks.

We want to wish our 4th & 5th grade students the best on STAAR testing. You've got this!

This Thursday we will be celebrating Ms. Stacey Martin for being named Teacher of the Year! Plano ISD will be awarding her and others at a Gala hosted in their honor which PTA was glad to contribute to. Congrats Ms. Martin! Thank you for all your hard work, giving our children a strong start into their elementary education and being a great example as Green Extreme.

Join us Saturday, May 14th, from 9 am-12 pm at Boggess West parking lot by Mustang Park for Smo's Donuts and park play with friends. See details below!

THE PTA WORLD WEAR PROJECT RECYCLING BIN IS located at Boggess Elementary on the Mustang Ridge Drive parking lot.

The World Wear Project is a for-profit recycling program, and a portion of the proceeds they generate from recycled items are donated to the Boggess PTA.

Please do not place items outside of bin.
