Dear McCall School Families,

Welcome to September! We are off to a fantastic start this school year, and our students and staff are settling into their daily routines. Please review the key dates and announcements below to help keep your family prepared for the busy month ahead.

We are excited to welcome our families to our annual Curriculum Night! This event offers a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and learn more about what to expect this school year. Teachers will share valuable details about their classroom environment, academic curriculum, grade-level expectations, and practical ways families can partner with us to support student learning at home.

Schedule

• Grades K–2: 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM

• Grades 3–5: 5:15 PM – 6:00 PM

Late Start Wednesdays

• September 3 & September 17

• School doors will open for an 11:00 AM start. Please adjust your morning schedules and transportation arrangements accordingly.

Reminders:

All Kindergarten and new students in the Waukegan school district need to bring in an updated physical examination and vaccine record. These are due by October 15th, 2026. If we do not receive the records, your child will NOT be allowed to come to school on October 16th, 2026.

If your student has recently had a dental and/or Vision exam, please bring in a copy to the nurse.

For those who signed up for the mobile dentist, the mobile dentist will be coming to McCall Elementary on September 29th, 2026. If you turned in a form, please make sure your child is in school on September 29th.
