The Weekly Update #4

Please join me in giving a warm Panther welcome to Kim Weaser! We are so excited to have Kim join the Prospect family as our Administrative Assistant. Her role is an important part of keeping our school running smoothly, and we are excited for the many ways she will support our staff, students, and families.

We would like to wish Kylee Nosalik all the best as she welcomes her baby girl and begins her maternity leave for the remainder of the school year. We are so excited for her and her growing family during this special time!

While Ms. Nosalik is out, if parents have any questions regarding special education or problem-solving supports, please feel free to reach out to me directly.

In addition, please join me in welcoming Sue Salness, a retired principal from Naperville District 203, who will be supporting Prospect during this time. Sue will be assisting with day-to-day building needs and will be with us on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We are grateful to have her experience and support as part of our team!

Students in 3rd–5th grade will take the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) on April 7–9 at 9:45 AM, and again on April 14 and 15. On April 14 and 15, 3rd and 4th grade will test at 8:45 AM, and 5th grade will test at 12:15 PM.

You can help your child feel confident and prepared by making sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time during testing days. Encouragement from home can also help students do their best and feel relaxed. Thank you for supporting our students during this time!

The Community House will be offering the Before and After the Bell programs at Prospect School to help meet the needs of our families.
