Dear Rose Tree Elementary Kindergarten Families,

Welcome to Rose Tree Elementary! We are thrilled that your family will be joining our school community this fall. I hope your summer has been filled with fun, family, and time to relax.

We can't wait to welcome our newest Huskies and begin an exciting year of learning, growing, and making new friendships together. Starting kindergarten is a special milestone, and we are honored to partner with your family during this important chapter in your child's educational journey.

As you look ahead to the start of the school year, we've included some important dates and information below to help your family prepare.

One of our favorite events is Kindergarten Orientation. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to visit the school, meet your child's teacher, explore the classroom, and begin to feel at home before the first day of school. Additional details about the event will be shared as the date approaches.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child to Rose Tree Elementary for Kindergarten Orientation. This special event is a wonderful opportunity to visit the school, meet your child's kindergarten teacher, explore the classroom, and help your child become excited and comfortable as they prepare for the first day of school.

Kindergarten participants will run the length of the turf field together before Penncrest's 7 pm home football game on Thursday September 3rd vs. Strath Haven! All Kindergarten participants will receive a "Future LION" t-shirt they can wear for the event.

Kindergarten families should arrive at 6:15 pm and meet on the track at 6:30 pm (near the scoreboard end of the field). The dash will be held at 6:40 pm. Students will be asked to quickly leave the field after the run, to allow the football team time to warm up. This is NOT a drop-off event. We ask only one parent/guardian on the field with your kindergarten student (no siblings).

Football game admission is $5/adult (ages 12 and older). Cash only -- please try to have exact change. Note: Referred to as the "Media Bowl", this game typically draws a large crowd so please plan to arrive early as parking may be limited. (Due to the holiday weekend, there will be NO SCHOOL on Friday September 4th.)

Grades 1-5

Student Arrival: 8:40 - 8:50 AM (Note: School Day starts at 8:50 AM)

Student Dismissal: 3:30 PM

AM Kindergarten

PM Kindergarten

Student arrival: 12:55 PM (Note: School Day starts at 12:55 PM)
