Message from Mrs. Liesberger Message from Mrs. Liesberger

October is such a special time of year on our campus! Students are well into their learning routines, and we are seeing so much growth and excitement in classrooms each day. We also want to extend a big thank you to our families and community for supporting our Boosterthon Fall Fundraiser in September—your generosity makes a direct impact on the opportunities and experiences we can provide for our students. We are so excited to have exceeded our goal of $20,000 and will bring in over $23,000! This means that in the coming weeks, your children will get to duct tape me to a wall!

As we move into October, we look forward to the fun fall activities, continued learning, and wonderful memories ahead!

Our monthly newsletter contains a lot of important information throughout the school year. We hope you find it helpful, and if you have any questions please reach out to us!

Each Monday, we hold a whole school assembly (Call to Excellence) in the gym to kick off the week! If students arrive later than 8:00 am, they will wait in the cafeteria until teachers are back in their classrooms.

New Communication Tool New Communication Tool

This year Klein ISD is using a new tool for communication! You will first need to download the Klein ISD app and set your notification and school preferences. Then click "Rooms" or "Messages" at the bottom. You will be prompted to "login". You will enter the phone number or email address associated with your student(s) in Skyward/SchoolMint. After entering the verification code, you should see your students and begin receiving messages.

You will see announcements from your child's teacher in Rooms. You will use Messages to have a conversation back and forth with your child's teacher.

Instructions with graphics are linked HERE!

You can also visit this website: https://www.kleinisd.net/page/roomsforparents for help.

Campus Delivery Procedures Campus Delivery Procedures

Please be aware that if you make a delivery to the front office for your child (folder, glasses, lunch, backpack, jacket, etc.) you will need to label the item, and then our front office staff will email his/her teacher to let them know there is an item in the front office. We do not have staff available to make deliveries all throughout the day.

Meals for the 2025-26 School Year Meals for the 2025-26 School Year

Klein will continue to use the School Cafe app for student meals. School Cafe allows you to see what your child is purchasing for breakfast/lunch, add money to your child's lunch account, and block your child's lunch account for a la carte purchases (extras).

Apply for Meal Benefits!

Submitting an application is easy and helps ensure every student has access to healthy meals while also supporting important school funding. Students approved for reduced-price meals will receive free breakfast and lunch all year long. Apply today through the SchoolCafe app or at www.schoolcafe.com/kleinisd

October Lunch Menus October Lunch Menus

The monthly menus can be found on the Nutrition and Food Services Website and they're working on getting them into the School Cafe app.

2025-26 Lunch Visitors 2025-26 Lunch Visitors

Lunch visitors are now welcome once/week!

We are so excited to welcome you into our school, and we work very hard to keep our students safe and healthy. Please limit your visits to eat lunch with your child to one time per week. This will minimize the amount of visitors in the cafeteria and give your children the opportunity to socialize with their peers at lunch.

Parents are permitted to eat lunch with their own child, and their child only. Children may not bring friends to the parent table to eat with the parent, regardless of whether the other parent gave permission. Please adhere to this procedure so that we can continue to allow visitors on campus for lunch.

New State Law for Personal Communication Devices New State Law for Personal Communication Devices

User uploaded image

Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, this new state law prohibits students from using personal communication devices during the instructional day while on school grounds. This includes cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, earbuds, and any other device capable of digital or telecommunication.

What This Means for Our Students

Students may bring personal communication devices to school, but they must be turned off, out of sight, and stored away in their backpack, pocket, laptop sleeve, or other personal belongings while on school grounds from the first bell to the end of the instructional day, including during class, passing periods, lunch, and recess.

The law requires disciplinary consequences for the use of personal communication devices during the instructional day while on school grounds. Exceptions are provided for students covered under a Section 504 plan or an Individualized Education Program (IEP) that includes personal communication devices as an accommodation. Access will be permitted as outlined in their individual plans.

Here at Kreinhop, we implement the Great Expectations program and have been designated a Great Expectations Model School! We teach all students the eight expectations for living and 36 life principles. These expectations build character and increase academic success at school. Ask your child about them! Each week, he/she learns about a new life principle and reviewed the expectations.

Expectation #1:

We will value each other as unique and special individuals.

Expectation #2:

We will not laugh at or make fun of a person's mistakes nor use sarcasm or put downs.

Expectation #3:

We will use good manners, saying "please," "thank you," and "excuse me" and allow others to go first.

Expectation #4:

We will cheer each other to success.

Expectation #5:

We will help one another whenever possible.

Expectation #6:

We will recognize every effort and applaud it.

Expectation #7:

We will encourage each other to do our best.

Expectation #8:

We will practice virtuous living, using the Life Principles.
