Happy October, everyone! Our Los Lagos PTO wants to say thank you to all of the family and community contributions received during the Kermés de Colores fundraiser this school year. With everyone’s support, our Los Lagos PTO was able to collect $34,000! This money will be used for the many events and activities we will have throughout the year, such as field trips, our Dia de los Muertos celebration, and so much more.
The fun continues! October is filled with activities! Our book fair will be the week of October 13-16. We will also be having our Dia de los Muertos celebration on October 30th. This celebration will be a family event for students and their families. These events are also great opportunities to volunteer to help! We will need volunteers to help with the book fair during school hours and after school during teacher conferences. If you are available, you can click on the link here to see available times to volunteer. We will also need volunteers for the Dia de los Muertos celebration. More information will be sent out soon with a sign up link for volunteer opportunities.
Finally, our next PTO meeting will be held Monday, October 13th. All parents or caregivers are welcome to attend. Our PTO meeting is a great time to talk more about the activities we have planned and answer any PTO related questions. The planned time for the meeting will be right after school in the Los Lagos library. If you wish to attend a 5:30 meeting, please email us at loslagospto@gmail.com. We would love to see you there!

¡Feliz octubre a todos! Nuestro PTO de Los Lagos quiere agradecer todas las contribuciones familiares y comunitarias recibidas durante la recaudación de fondos de la Kermés de Colores de este año escolar. ¡La diversión continúa! ¡Octubre está lleno de actividades! Nuestra feria del libro será la semana del 13 al 16 de octubre. También tendremos nuestra celebración del Día de los Muertos el 30 de octubre. Esta celebración será un evento familiar para los estudiantes y sus familias. ¡Estos eventos también son excelentes oportunidades para ser voluntario y ayudar! Necesitaremos voluntarios para ayudar con la feria del libro durante el horario escolar y después de clases durante las conferencias de maestros. Por último, nuestra próxima reunión del PTO se llevará a cabo el lunes 13 de octubre. Todos los padres y cuidadores están invitados a asistir a la reunión. Nuestra reunión del PTO es un buen momento para hablar más sobre las actividades que tenemos planeadas y responder cualquier pregunta relacionada con el PTO. La reunión está planeada para realizarse justo después de clases en la biblioteca de Los Lagos.
