đź’» Friendly Chromebook Tip
When was the last time you fully shut down your Chromebook—not just closed the lid? Giving your device a proper restart at least once a month (weekly is even better!) helps it run smoother and stay updated. Consider this your monthly reminder to show your Chromebook a little love. It’ll thank you with better performance!
🧠BrainPOP 3rd - 5th Grade Updates
Moby and the BrainPOP team have been working hard to provide new updates to 3rd-8th grade topic pages. Take a look at a few of these new updates.
Leveled Reading
- Students read high-interest texts—at three different reading levels—that build extra background knowledge on concepts connected to the movie. Meanwhile, embedded assessments help students practice and apply reading strategies.
Vocabulary Builder
- Interactive flashcards with a grade-leveled word bank of tier 2 words. Students engage with interactive, multi-modal activities (drag-and-drop, Venn Diagram, etc.) that provide practice and application of literacy skills—including deciphering context clues and analyzing word parts.
Enhanced Quizzes
- Go beyond traditional multiple-choice questions, allowing students to “show what they know” – on both content knowledge and literacy skill application – through technology-enhanced item types that mirror the format and rigor of district/state assessments.
Teacher Level Reports
- These new and improved reports have been created with the help of teachers to cover exactly the information that teachers want—in the format they need—to make data-informed decisions for future instruction.

đź’ś Seesaw + Decodable Readers? Yes, please!
Did you know you can assign all of the Pearson Leveled and Decodable Readers to students in Seesaw? After using a book in small groups, you can easily assign it to your students for fluency practice. They can even record themselves reading, highlight key phonemes or sight words, and engage with the text in a more interactive way. And in case you are wondering, the list includes both English and Spanish Readers.
Want to take it a step further? Add a comprehension question at the end or include a Notice and Note reflection. Students can respond with audio, text, or even a video—giving them choice in how they engage with the material.
The readers are linked in your curriculum, and I've also provided direct links below. Feel free to bookmark them for easy access. Click the image to see an example of how you can build activities with these readers and add frames for an even richer experience!
Still unsure how to navigate Seesaw with your littles? I'm here to support you. Let's partner together to bring Seesaw to your classroom.
