Nichols Navigator News #38
A Leader in Me School
Sunday Announcement!
Hello Navigators,
I want to let everyone know that due to a family emergency I have and will continue to be out of the office. I will return as soon as possible and hope it is real soon. In the meantime our Assistant Principal, Ms. Brilee will be taking care of administration duties at school. She is highly capable and Nichols will be in good hands. I will see everyone soon.
Our PTO is a critical organization for Nichols. PTO support is necessary for us to provide field trips and to spend money we receive from donations and fundraisers. We are in need of board members for next year to keep our a PTO active. We will collaborate and provide support to help anyone willing to take on a role. We can also consider shared roles to lesson the burden. If you are interested in taking a more active part in the PTO please fill out this form. There are different options and we would love the help.
We will continue to focus on Habit 5, Seek First to Understand and then be Understood. Check out the Leader in Me portion of the newsletter for ideas of how Habit 5 can help at home and how you can help your child use this habit to settle disagreements.
Mark your calendar - The school district will hold a Fentanyl Awareness meeting on May 16 beginning at 5:30 PM in the Oceanside High School Performing Arts Center. See this flyer for more information.
Feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you and have a great night.
Nichols PTO
Please join our PTO this year. The PTO does so much for our school and we do need your help. We know schedules are busy and there is no obligation for attending meetings or volunteering. We hope you will join to be a member and assist when/if you can.
This year every Wednesday will be a Spirit Day at Nichols. Wear blue or wear your Nichols gear. Due to a scheduling conflict the PTO was unable to sell Spirit Wear last week. Look for them after school. We will work to get consistent days and times.
