Dear Mustang Families,

There is something bittersweet about summer break for educators. We love the chance to rest, recharge, and spend time with the people we love, but there is always a little sadness mixed in because we miss our students. We miss learning and growing alongside them, celebrating their successes, and being there to support them through the challenges.

So, with a big sigh of relief, we can finally say: Welcome back to school, Mustangs!

We had an amazing first week welcoming back our returning Mustangs and getting to know our newest members of the herd. As we begin this year together, our focus is simple: to cultivate a school where every student feels known and valued, empower students to take ownership of their growth, prosper together as a community, and champion every student along the way.

For our sixth graders, that means helping them find their place, build relationships, and learn what it means to be a Mustang. For our seventh graders, we want to make sure they are seen and heard as they grow in autonomy and agency, and embrace their unique role as the ones in the middle of middle school. And for our eighth graders, we are challenging them to think about the legacy they want to leave at Moseley and supporting them as they make it their own.

We are so excited for all that this year will bring. Thank you for trusting us with your students and for partnering with us as we help them grow.

Let's ride, Mustangs! 🐎

As an AVID campus, we support strong organization skills for all students. On the first day of school, every student set up a binder in their second-period class.

We encourage families to check in with their Mustang’s agenda daily or weekly to help them stay organized and on track.

Here, you can see our Mustang Choir students working on their binders and below you can click the link to view a sample agenda page.

Introducing the Profile of a Learning Leader

The Prosper ISD Profile of a Learning Leader represents a shared, unified vision created through the collaborative efforts of our entire school community — including teachers, staff, administrators, students, parents, and community partners across the district. This foundational document captures the core attributes, values, and mindsets we strive to cultivate in every member of the Prosper ISD family. Serving as our guiding star, it embodies the leadership and learning aspirations we hold for everyone within our system, fostering growth, excellence, and continuous improvement from our youngest learners all the way to the superintendent.

This profile didn't start from scratch — it grew directly out of our 2025–2030 Strategic Priorities, which were themselves built through months of listening to teachers, students, families, and staff across the district. Once those four pillars — Together We Champion, Together We Cultivate, Together We Empower, and Together We Prosper — were set, small groups from across Prosper ISD came together again to answer a more personal question: what does it actually look like, day to day, for a student or an employee to live out these priorities? The Profile of a Learning Leader is the answer.

At Moseley, this profile is more than just a set of ideals — it is an active, daily practice. As a campus community, we are dedicated to intentionally teaching, reinforcing, and building upon these core characteristics in all that we do. Whether through instructional practices, collaborative leadership, or daily interactions, we ensure that every student, educator, and staff member is supported in developing these traits. By embedding the Profile of a Learning Leader into our school culture, we create a supportive environment where every individual can achieve excellence every day in every way.
