Superintendent Update
November 22, 2024
Cliff's Notes
Dear Bedford Public Schools Community,
I am pleased to share that we tentatively settled our teachers contract yesterday evening! Members of the bargaining teams are pictured below, along with a joint statement providing additional details on the deal. We are excited for the work ahead together. We are thankful for the support of the entire community throughout this process. Ratification by both the Bedford Education Association and Bedford School Committee is expected in the coming weeks.
We turn our attention to the full FY26 budget at the Nov. 26th school committee meeting and thank the community in advance for the continued support for our schools. As with all school committee items of significance, we welcome feedback on the budget, and we encourage stakeholders to reach out to me or the school committee directly through email, setting up a call or a meeting, or via public comment. (Please note that the district does not formally monitor social media, so comments share through those platforms may not be missed and not considered.)
With many thanks,
Cliff Chuang 莊 宏 毅
Superintendent, Bedford Public Schools
P.S. The next Superintendent Update will be sent on December 6, 2024.
