Kiker Community,
As we head into the last week of February, I want to take a moment to celebrate some of the incredible people who help make our school community so special. This week is Food Service Appreciation Week, and we are so grateful for our amazing cafeteria team. They greet students with smiles each day, care deeply about their well-being, and work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every child is nourished and ready to learn. Their kindness and consistency make a difference in ways that often go unseen, and we are truly thankful for them.
We also want to give a big shout-out to our Dads on Duty, who have generously given their time on weekends to improve our track. Thanks to their hard work, students now have a smoother, safer surface to run and play on. Their commitment to our school community is inspiring, and we appreciate the pride and care they pour into our campus. (Be sure to check out the photos below!)
This week, I've had the opportunity to visit many of our 3rd grade classrooms, and it was a joy to see firsthand how much our students are growing in their independence. I observed students taking ownership of their learning, and managing tasks with confidence. These moments are a powerful reminder of the growth that happens each day in our classrooms, and I could not be more proud of their progress!
