Three Bridges School
Welcome Back to School Newsletter
Happy New School Year from the Principal
Dear Three Bridges Families,
Welcome to a fantastic new school year at Three Bridges School! We are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey with you and your children. This edition of our newsletter is packed with important news, critical updates, and valuable information to help you stay connected and engaged with our school community.
Please take note of the important dates coming up this month. We have several events and activities planned that you won't want to miss. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details on our website and through our regular communication channels.
We are proud to highlight our Character Education program, which continues to be a cornerstone of our school's mission. Each month we publish a calendar called Paws for Peace. This calendar shares our Character Word for the month and activities we can do with the children to teach them about the focused trait. Through this program, we emphasize the development of key virtues such as respect, responsibility, kindness, and perseverance. Our goal is to nurture well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient, but also emotionally and socially adept.
We are also focusing on the importance of student attendance this year. Regular attendance is crucial for academic success and helps students build good habits that will serve them throughout their lives. We appreciate your support in ensuring that your child attends school every day, is on time, eager to learn, and ready to grow.
Be sure to scroll through the newsletter for details on the Readington new Strategic Plan!
We are excited about the year ahead and all the opportunities it brings for our students and community. Thank you for being a part of the Three Bridges family. Together, we will make this a memorable and successful school year!
Yours in Tiger Spirit,
Kristen Higgins, Ed.D.

Technology at School
All students are assigned a Chromebook for the year. They will receive these the first few days of school. Be sure to fill out the “2026-27 Student Network Agreement and Permissions” form in Genesis. Having a device is a lot of responsibility. We expect at TBS that students will show good digital citizenship while using the devices for educational purposes.
During our learning day, cell phones and watches are not to be used by students. We want students focused on learning and not on distractions. Cell phones should be in their backpacks. Watches should be turned to school mode. If you need to reach your students, please do not text them but rather call the main office and we will connect you with them.
Before and After Care at TBS Offered through River Crossing YMCA
The Hunterdon County YMCA is offering before care beginning at 7:00 a.m and aftercare until 6:00 p.m. The students are supervised typocally in the cafeteria and/or playground. Click Here to register.
Three Bridges School SEL Mission Statement
The Mission of Three Bridges School is to provide a caring, nurturing community where all the students feel secure and accepted. We encourage respect, perseverance, independence, and resiliency to maximize personal and academic growth. We believe our choices can have a positive impact on our world as global citizens; therefore, we strive to lead by example.
Readington Strategic Plan
At Readington Township Public Schools, we believe in a future where every student is empowered to become a deeply engaged thinker, creator, and resilient citizen. I am proud to introduce our 2026-2031 Strategic Goals, which serve as our guide as we navigate the intersection of traditional excellence and future-ready innovation.
Our plan is built upon four foundational focus areas designed to support your the growth of our school community:
Academic Rigor: We hold high expectations for every learner. By meeting students where they are and providing essential supports, we ensure that rigor serves as a bridge to their future success. This year's focus will be on developing a framework to foster academic responsibility and independence along with a review of curriculum to identify areas for student-led and choice-based learning activities.
Belonging and Human Connection: We believe belonging is the catalyst for achievement. We are dedicated to creating a culture where every student feels supported and empowered to shape our collective success. This year belonging will be anchored in the Universal Design for Learning (UDL), the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), and Morning Meeting.
Future Preparedness: We are equipping our learning community to act with confidence and ethical discernment. Our curriculum will emphasize digital literacy, critical thinking, and sustainability to prepare students for an evolving world. District focus will be found in promoting responsible digital citizenship.
Fiscal Stewardship: We remain committed to responsible budgeting and proactive monitoring of costs. Our goal is to protect the long-term financial health of the district while sustaining the high-quality education all children deserve.
