Traffic Safety Reminder for Our Families
Dear Families,
We want to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of safe driving practices during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Our goal is to keep every student, family, and staff member safe and to help traffic move as smoothly as possible.
We know arrival and dismissal can be busy, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation. Please remember:
- Please do not park facing the wrong direction on the street. Vehicles should be parked in the direction of traffic. Parking the wrong way can create a traffic hazard and makes it more difficult and dangerous when vehicles pull back into traffic.
- Please do not stop in the middle of the street to drop off or pick up students. Students should never be asked to exit a vehicle in the middle of the roadway.
- Please use the designated drop-off and pick-up areas and follow the directions of our staff and Dallas Police Department officers assisting with morning and afternoon traffic.
- Please do not block the roadway. Stopping or parking in the street can prevent traffic from moving and can create dangerous conditions for students and other drivers.
The Dallas Police Department assists with traffic safety during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Officers may take enforcement action when they observe traffic or safety violations.
Most importantly, this is about keeping our students safe—not about creating inconvenience for our families. A student stepping out of a vehicle in the middle of the street can be difficult for another driver to see and could result in a serious accident. Working together, we can prevent these situations and make arrival and dismissal safer for everyone.
Thank you for helping us protect our students and for being a valued part of our school community. We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we work together to make arrival and dismissal safe and efficient.
Thank you for putting student safety first!
