Greetings, Phoenix!

We have officially reached the end of Hexter 2. It's hard to believe that we have already completed 12 weeks of school this year.

Please take this time in the weekend to be safe, relax, and come back ready for Hexter 3!

Hexter 2 has ended with a lot of changes. Congratulations to our students who completed Foundations and will start the rest of their Discovery journey on Monday.

We are both happy and sad with this congratulations to Ms. Benware as she has left Discovery, but embarks on her new chapter in life of motherhood. We also want to welcome our new EA/Health Tech, Ms. Amie Guenther, who will be joining us in Hexter 3.

Remember that Monday, the 2nd, is a half-day, and students will be released at 12:30 pm. Please make plans accordingly. There will be no Opportunity Center on Monday; it will start on Tuesday, November 3rd.

Remember this weekend to set your clocks BACK one hour as Daylight Saving Time Ends. Enjoy the extra hour of darkness, and get some rest!

It's Fall, Y'all!

Looking forward to a great Hexter 3.

~Dr. Wiggins

Mrs. Thomas's and Mr. Wadsworth's students are making BIG things! Their rollercoasters are part of their final project to finish off Hexter 2, and they are amazing. They are all made completely out of paper and Scotch tape. Check them out!

Our Broadcasting and Yearbook teacher, Mrs. Thomas, took StanLee and Lillith to the annual Journalism Day in Fort Collins!

The event gave our students the opportunity to learn more about journalism, explore media and storytelling, and develop skills they can use in broadcasting, photography, and yearbook production.

It was a great opportunity for students to connect their classroom learning to real-world media experiences and gain inspiration for their own work at school.

Diana's Pumpkin Patch

Students and staff had a great time at the pumpkin patch! There was an awesome corn maze, hay rides, cornhole, potato sack racing, and delicious snacks! After the patch, we went to Centennial Park for lunch on the riverside and explored the grounds. Check out the highlights!

Families of 2027 Graduating Seniors,

If your student is looking at attending a community college, 4 year college/university, trade school or any learning institution after graduation, please know that completing the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Colorado Application for Student Aid (CAFSA) is an important step to help your student finance attending these institutions. Many of these schools require the application to offer scholarships through their institutions.

Completing the FAFSA will also apply to possible Federal grants, work study programs or loans that can assist your student in meeting their educational goals. Please know that after completing the application, you will receive financial aid information that you can choose to accept or decline.

Please find a resource that includes videos that may help you complete the FAFSA forms and direct links to the applications. The sooner you complete the application the better.

If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Shea.
