We are in need of Parent/Guardian Volunteers
Dear Parents & Guardians:
Our NRMS PTO is looking for help with the upcoming 8th Grade Dinner Dance! Please read below for ways your family can support your students and make these events successful.
1) 6th & 7th Grade Families - We are asking you to lend a hand at the 8th Grade Dinner Dance (Thursday, June 12th). We need help setting up and loading in the decorations and food, before the start of the event and also packing up and cleaning up after the event. We are also looking for dance chaperones. The parents that volunteered last year can attest that it was fun and easy, and not too much of a time commitment. The 8th grade parents will appreciate your support as they will be home helping their students get ready for their big night, getting dressed, and picking up friends, and transportation back and forth. The 8th Grade Parents thank you for your support!

2) 8th Grade Families - We need your participation to help us to provide a great assortment of raffle prizes for our 8th graders at their last NRMS Dance (Friday, June 12th). We are looking for $5-$10 gift cards to local stores for prize give-aways at the dance. Let's make it a wonderful night for these students! Gift cards can be dropped off at the office.
If you’d also like to chaperone or help with set-up/clean-up, please use the link below.

Updates From The Principal
Hello NRMS Families,
The unofficial start of summer is here with the arrival of the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The weather has been so cold, it is hard to believe that we have just 18 school days left this year. You can help us finish strong over the next four weeks as we wrap up another school year. Here are some steps you can take:
Mark your calendars and attend the special events (concerts, ceremonies, etc.) listed below. Please consider volunteering to assist as the 8th grade dinner dance and/or at field day.
Continue to help your child to be present and on time to school every day with all of their materials and a fully charged Chromebook. Please note that 8th graders will return their Chromebooks on June 12.
Check grades in Aspen and work with your child on a plan to end the year in strong academic standing.
Help your child make positive decisions by talking about and searching phone history, photos, and messages to prevent poor peer interactions on social media. Occasionally discuss and search backpacks to prevent students from bringing items to school that do not belong here. Overall the number of vapes we are finding is down from a year ago, but we do still occasionally have to discipline students for vaping in school. Help us avoid suspensions in these last four weeks.
Show your support and appreciation by making a donation to the NRMS Education Foundation that will support field trips and learning experiences for students. https://nrmseducationfoundation.org/
Thanks for your ongoing partnership as we help students navigate middle school and this final sprint to June 20.
Enjoy the long weekend.
