NEW: The Need to Knows
- This is your friendly reminder that MHS will be reviewing grades for privileges eligibility on March 11th. You must have a 3.0 or above in all courses in order to maintain or re-apply for privileges. If you have below a 3.0 in any courses, you will be scheduled for Solon Blocks for classes below a 3, you may be scheduled to meet with MHS Admin, a work lab may be added to your schedule, and/or you may lose the option to sign in and out during unscheduled times. If you have a grade below a 3, the best thing you can do is proactively come chat with us about your plan for improving it!
- MHS continues to collect snack donations. Individual wrapped is best please. Please drop off any donations to the MHS office.

An Update from the Principal
Dear MHS Community,
I hope you are all well. You all had a great break week, and all is good. As we return from break, we need to acknowledge the outstanding performances of the Winter Sports teams. Congratulations to the MHS Boys Varsity for their Fourth Championship in a row! A great game and season. Congratulations to the Nordic teams for their last week's second-place finish in the States! Congratulations to the U32 MHS Hockey teams, MHS Gymnastics, and MHS Girls Basketball! We are proud of all our student-athletes for their leadership, mentoring, and work. Thank you for representing MHS with "Taking Care of Others" in mind.
In the meantime, we are almost halfway through the second semester! Time is going to start to fly by. Conference Day is March 22nd, and we are eager to await the "12th Night" performance in April. Soup for the Soul is two weeks away, MHS will have exchange students from Guadeloupe visiting in April, and there is a lot of information in the "Extended Learning Opportunity" section below. Please check it out.
When MHS returns from a break, our Solon Block on Wednesday will be a Long TA to reconnect and check in with students and one another. I am totally looking forward to returning and our time together.
I hope to see you all soon, and best wishes for a new week.
Sincerely,
Jason
"Consistency is about being disciplined, determined, and unwavering.
In practice, consistency is about being adaptable. Don't have much time? Scale it down. Don't have much energy? Do the easy version. Find different ways to show up depending on the circumstances. Let your habits change shape to meet the demands of the day.
Adaptability is the way of consistency."- James Clear

- Understand and recognize tobacco industry tactics targeting youth
- Explain the dangers of nicotine e-cigarettes/vapes, non-nicotine vapes, and other new tobacco products
- Know the steps to protect youth and how to advise others to get involved
- Take action in their own communities
- Registration
If you can't make it, don't worry! We will be offering this presentation throughout the rest of the year on May 12, September 10, and November 19.
