Greatness On The Horizon - Live The Mission
A Message From Mrs. Gabriela Elliott, Campus Principal
Greetings Ravens! I am excited to begin the 2nd 9 Weeks together. Our Scholars return October 17, 2023. We thank you for the trust and support during the first 9 Weeks! Over 175 scholars attended our Fall Intersession. Please click on the embedded links below for pictures and highlights. We will continue with Power Hour this week. Please note, Power Hour (tutoring) transportation will not be provided because very few students are riding the bus and the routes are getting home very late. We will be providing an afternoon snack. Lots of Greatness On The Horizon!
Some Reminders:
Attendance: Let's make sure our Ravens are in school every day, all day. Our goal for this school year is 97% school-wide. Current Attendance Overall: 96.14%. Beginning this upcoming week 9 weeks, grade level with highest attendance for the week will earn free the following Monday. Winning grade level will be announced the Friday before dismissal. Thank you all for your support. Go Ravens!!
Buses: It is bus safety. Please speak to your children about bus expectations and ensure they have a bus ID to check in and out of the route. Please download RIDE360 app to follow student routes.
Capturing Kid's Hearts: Please read attached newsletter for our October Theme: Think, Choose, Act: Self Direct and find ways you can help support and teach Self Direct at home.
Red Ribbon Week: October 23-27, please see flier below for dress up opportunities.
Report card: Grades are due 10/17/2023 at 12pm. Report card grades may be viewed through Skyward.
Student Led Conferences: Mark your calendars. Student Led Conferences are October 23 from 4-6pm. This is a time for students to showcase their work in the classroom and for parents to see student progress.
Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me or any of the Eastlake Middle School Staff, if you have additional questions. Please follow us on Twitter for daily highlights and announcements: @Eastlake_Middle.
Walk A Mile: Finally Here!! October 19, 2023 Walk a Mile in Her Shoes supports YWCA El Pasoβs Sara McKnight Transitional Living Center for survivors of domestic violence.
At this event, we ask men to walk in high-heeled shoes to actively engage in solidarity in confronting gender stereotypes and expectations. Together we can face the root causes of many gender violence instances. There is still time to donate.

Would you like to be a Parent Volunteer?
Are you interested in becoming a volunteer? While we are still finalizing our date for the informational meeting, you can complete your district background check now through this link. https://my.sisd.net/public_apps/dps-cch-public/#!/home/
Background checks must be done yearly with them being valid from July 1 to June 30 of the current school year. You will need to be cleared by the district and attend one of our orientations. The orientations will allow you to learn about the process of coming into the campus and the various opportunities available. More information about these orientations will be shared once finalized.
We would love to have your help!
