Message From the Office Message From the Office

Dear Families,

This week, we experienced a situation that required medical assistance. In such cases, we implement a classroom hold to ensure privacy and minimize disruption. Our students and staff responded calmly and professionally, and we are incredibly proud of how our team handled the situation.

We are sharing the Linn County Crisis Procedures developed in collaboration with our county School Resource Officers (SROs). These procedures are designed to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in our schools.

We are finishing up finals Thursday and students who missed a final may make them up on Friday.

We are excited to welcome Caleb Secrest and Emily Nation to our building tomorrow (Thursday) during 5th and 6th hours to share their post-graduate experiences with our students.

Caleb will discuss the exciting world of video game design, including aspects like art, music, coding, production, and simulation. He also plans to showcase some of the games his team is currently developing as well as those they have already produced.

Emilie, a K-State graduate who is now pursuing her studies at Wichita State University, will share her journey toward becoming a Physical Therapist, offering valuable insights into her education and career path.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about diverse career possibilities and hear firsthand about the skills and dedication needed to succeed in these fields.

We are bringing first semester to a close and if students are wanting to make schedule changes for the spring semester they MUST complete this before leaving school on Friday.

As we head into a winter break from school, we continue to think about and reflect on the many success and achievements of our students, staff and community. It has been inspiring to witness the hard work, growth, and collaboration that make our school such a special place.

We are excited to continue this momentum into January as we begin the second semester. Together, we will keep learning, growing, and striving for excellence.

Thank you,

Dr. Samuels - Principal

Mr. Beckham - Assistant Principal
