Marble's Free Little Library is restocked and ready for summer reading fun!
First Graders are continuing to work on solving problems they see in our learning community using their Second Step skills. This week we noticed the Free Little Library was disorganized and needed more books. We made a plan to tidy up the library and fill it with the donated books we have. Mel and Oscoda were excited about all the new books. If you are looking for something fun to read, please come borrow a book. When you return the book, please put it neatly on the shelf. If you have books you would like to donate to our Marble or Deerpath Free Little Library, please deliver them to the office for Ms. Spitzer. We will restock the free library each Tuesday. Thank you for helping us build a community of readers!

As the end of a wonderful school year quickly approaches, we want to notify families that all student medications stored in the building must be picked up by the last day of school, Friday June 5th by the end of the school day. In accordance with ELPS district policy and MDE, any medications left unclaimed will be disposed of over the summer. We are not permitted by law to send medications home in student backpacks; they must be picked up by a parent or guardian.
If you would like to pick up your student’s medication before June 6, our staff will count and keep only the doses necessary for your student through the remaining school days. If you bring in a new medication or refill, staff may be able to count out only what is needed (for some medications), and return any extra doses to you at the time of drop off.
If your student will need medication at school next school year, please remember to schedule an appointment with their physician over the summer to obtain an updated medication authorization form and any medical plan forms necessary for school. District administered medication forms must be signed by your student’s prescribing doctor.
Medication authorization forms can be found at this link on the ELPS website under Our District> Forms and Notices for Beginning of School. There, you will find the consent for district administered medication form as well as the consent for student to self-administer medications if appropriate.
Please call the main office if you have questions or concerns, or need to coordinate a time to pick up your student’s medications. Thank you for supporting student health!
