Lead the Read: NHS Summer Reading Requirements
Summer Reading Requirements for Fun and Community
Students are required to read two books this summer, which will be confirmed by parent signature on the Parent Sign-Off Form.
The first book can be anything you want.
The second book will be a PeerLit book.
PeerLit books are small-group common reads which all students will discuss in a small group during a Clipper Time in the fall. Students have already chosen their titles.
PeerLit groups are led by PeerLit Leaders, students who have volunteered to develop discussion questions and lead the discussions; an opportunity for both collaboration, leadership, and community.
The Parent Sign-Off Form, will be collected by ELA teachers in the fall.
We are excited to share discussions with students and look forward to collecting data and feedback from our new approach!
