Eagle Express
Dear Arrowwood Families,
Next week, we are excited to celebrate Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week with a fun “Survivor” theme. Each day, our incredible staff shows resilience, teamwork, and creativity as they support our students, and this week gives us a special opportunity to recognize all they do to help our school community thrive. We invite you to join us in celebrating the “survival skills” our staff use every day by building relationships, solving challenges, and creating meaningful learning experiences for all students. Consider sending a special note or message to a staff member that has positively impacted your Eagle this year.
Our fifth graders will also be wrapping up their MSTEP testing next week, and they have truly shown their own perseverance and determination throughout the process. They’ll be finishing strong and putting their “survival skills” to the test as they demonstrate all they’ve learned this year. We are so proud of their effort and focus.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us celebrate and appreciate our amazing staff and students. Stay tuned for more details on how we will honor our “Survivors” throughout the week.

School Attire for Warmer Weather
To help our students stay safe, comfortable, and ready to learn, here is a quick, friendly reminder about our school dress code guidelines.
Please keep these simple rules in mind when planning outfits:
Active Feet: Safe, running-appropriate shoes are required for recess and PE. If wearing winter or rain boots, please pack a pair of regular shoes for the classroom. For safety, please leave shoes with wheels at home and avoid flip flops as they do not withstand our playground.
School-Ready Clothing: Outfits should be neat, weather-appropriate, and worn at the waist. To keep our environment focused on learning, please save midriffs, cutoffs, and spaghetti straps for at home.
Keep it Positive: Hats should be taken off inside the building, and clothing must be free of any objectionable words or pictures.
We view this as a partnership! If an outfit ever misses the mark, we will gently reach out to you so we can work together to correct it. Thank you for your continued support in making our school a fantastic place to learn and play.
Extra Yearbooks - First Come, First Serve
Yearbooks went home with students today. We have a limited number of yearbooks for sale in our main office. They will be $15 cash or check payable to Arrowwood Elementary. Once they are gone, they are done for the year.
Believe. Achieve. Soar on Spring Assessments - MSTEP Updates
The ultimate challenge continues, and we need your alliance on this journey! Fifth grade Eagles will finish their state assessments (M-STEP) the week of May 4th. The best way you can support your favorite contestant is by making sure they are present, rested, and ready to show what they can do.
Here is the testing schedule for our grade-level tribes:
5th Grade Science: May 5th
5th Grade Social Studies: May 7th
MI-Access will be finished in classrooms during the May 4th week as students are available.
To give every student the best possible environment to outwit, outstudy, and outshine this challenge, we ask that you avoid scheduling appointments or optional absences on these critical days.
With our whole tribe working together, we know our students will Believe, Achieve, and Soar! The tribe has spoken. Go Eagles!
