A soft landing for our military affiliated Seahawks 🦅

At Sunderland Elementary we understand the unique challenges faced by our Military Families.
Whether you are landing at or taking off from Sunderland Elementary School, this page is meant to serve as a resource to help ease the burden of transitions both in and outside of the classroom. Our Navigation Team comprised of School Administrators, School Counselors, the Military Family Liaison, Flight Guides (volunteer students), and our volunteer Military Support Team are here with you every step of the way. At the end of this news letter are several local resources for our military families!

About me: I have been a Military Spouse for 16 years. My husband serves at USCG Headquarters in Washington D.C. We have three children who are or have attended Sunderland Elementary. I have had the privilege of serving Military Families by volunteering as a Family Advocate as well as Junior Project Manager for the Armed Forces Housing Advocacy (AFHA) as well as a volunteer board member and trail lead for Hiking With Keiki (O'ahu). I look forward to meeting you and assisting with any support you need while you transition to living in Calvert County.
