☕🍵🧋Thank you to all who went to pickup a coffee, tea or matcha at Da Vien on the 17th! And who shared our fundraiser with family and friends 💙

How it works: Da Vien takes 15% of each sale that used our code. Our PTA will then get a check or direct deposit of those total funds to use at our school.

UPDATE: Da Vien reported that we generated $1,789 in sales so Arlington will be getting $268.35!

Thank you so much to our wonderful and supportive Arlington families + friends.

All fall orders are expected to arrive and be handed out the LAST week of Sept! They will be passed out to your kids in the classroom for them to put the package inside their backpacks. We'll keep you posted if anything changes.

Reminder: Every Monday the school has an assembly on the black top first thing in the morning! Wear your SPIRITWEAR. But of course you can also wear it any day of the week!

We still would LOVE more Arlington walkers!! Will you make this an activity for your family?

(If you can't physically make it that day 🏀⚽🏈⚾🛫 🧳 that's ok too! You can REGISTER as a virtual walker for each member of your family and Arlington will get 100% of the funds if you check the box TEF Torrance Education Foundation)

The Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship walk is a 3.4 mile long walk down a path lined with students, families, neighbors, community members, and even cheerleaders from the local high schools! We will start at Manhattan Pier and walk towards Hermosa Pier and then walk back.

Last year there were 20ft skeletons at one part of the sand along our walk. 💀

We want you to join in on this one! It's our BIG all school fall fundraiser!

The PTA raises funds for the field trip busses, assemblies, and special events for the kids such as movie night, and a winter dance!

VERY IMPORTANT: When you register you MUST:

✅Join team Arlington

✅Register as a walker (in-person or virtual)

✅Check TEF: Torrance Education Foundation for our school to get the funds

✅ Register each individual person in your family for 1 walker at $30/ea. (All family members can be under the same email)

After the walk (around 11:30am) we plan to hang out at Manhattan beach for an Arlington family beach day! *parking underground is 10 hours*

Bring your lunch, snacks, swim clothes or go back to the car to grab it and hang with us!

🎉UPDATE: As of Friday night, we reached 100 walkers 🥳 This is a big deal for us - we hit our first goal! Our school will receive an extra $500 for our PTA. YOU DID IT!

We will continue to invite you to register. If you're on the fence about it - think about a SUPER FUN Sunday morning with 100+ of your Arlington classmates and families walking the beach strand. It's one big party!!! You don't want to miss out.

Great seeing you all at back to school night! Thanks for coming to our PTA association meeting!

Dr. Hath shared important school information, chose 14 winners that will get an Arlington hat (for submitting the universal benefits application) and introduced the wonderful teachers!

THANK YOU to each of our room parents for sharing in the classrooms. We know speaking in front of others is hard, but you did it! We appreciate you.

As a favor to the teachers and room parents, please fill out the QR code google doc ASAP to give your permission for the room parent (RP) to use your email. They need consent from 100% of the class.

This will allow the room parent to HELP the teacher take a load off their plate and communicate to the parents on their behalf. Please do it!

COMMUNICATION is key! Team work makes the dream work!

Last year we had dance choreography, stop motion films, singers, drawings, short films, writers, photography, music entries and more!

Bring the family out to a super fun Friday night at the school blacktop. We will be selling pizza as we watch the MARIO MOVIE.

Bring your picnic blankets, chairs and a jacket to bundle up!

You can also redeem your coupon for FREE popcorn + lemonade if you've signed up for the Skechers walk (before 9/19)!

We have updated our PTA board in the cafeteria with current documents. If/when you're on campus please take a look at it, if you'd like. We will always have it up to date for our association meetings and parent events in our cafeteria.

All of the information is available to you: meeting agendas, bylaw changes, and our budget has full transparency!
