We want your input! In September, each Board of Education member will host a gathering in their district, with conversations led by the Alma Advisory Group. These meetings are open to everyone in the GCPS community. - Tuesday, September 16 — Mr. Steve Gasper, District III, North Gwinnett High School
- Wednesday, September 17 — Mr. Steven B. Knudsen, District II, Mill Creek High School
- Monday, September 22 — Ms. Rachel Ruffin Stone, District I, Grayson High School
- Tuesday, September 23 — Dr. Adrienne Simmons, 2025 Chair, District IV, Shiloh High School
- Wednesday, September 24 — Dr. Tarece Johnson-Morgan, 2025 Vice Chair, District V, Meadowcreek High School
To make participation easier for families, interpretation and childcare will be provided at every meeting. If you plan to attend a meeting, please register and learn more about the search process on our website at www.gcpsk12.org/supt-search.
Who pays the one-cent sales tax?
A common question about E-SPLOST:
“Who pays the one-cent sales tax?”
The answer: Anyone who makes a purchase or does business in Gwinnett County contributes one penny of every dollar spent to fund our capital needs, regardless of whether they live in Gwinnett or are just visiting the county. This includes purchases made by people who come into Gwinnett County for concerts, sporting events, expositions, and retail shopping.
E-SPLOST has been in place in Gwinnett County since 1997. Voters are being asked to renew E-SPLOST to continue supporting the GCPS Capital Plan. Visit our website for more details on our Capital Plan and for more information about how we use E-SPLOST funds in GCPS.
National Arts in Education Week
As we prepare to celebrate National Arts in Education Week (September 8-13), take a look at how our students are engaging with Fine Arts! Find school events, calendars, and links to the district's Fine Arts social media platforms. With activities happening in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts, our talented students are making their creative mark in every school and level. Families and community members are welcome to attend and support our students! You can follow GCPS Fine Arts on Instagram (@gcpsfinearts) and Facebook (@GCPSFineArts).
