From Mr. Meredith
We hope this finds you doing well and that your child has been enjoying the first month of school. Our students and teachers have been hard at work in terms of accomplishing many learning goals that have been set across all content areas according to our School Improvement Process. In doing so, students are encouraged to productively struggle through new concepts with teacher support in order to work cooperatively and most importantly become successful, independent learners.
As the school year unfolds, be sure you are checking your child's ParentVue Synergy account on a regular basis in order to keep track of their progress according to grades that teachers are entering related to assignments that lead toward report card grading. If you have any specific questions related to the academic and social/emotional progress of your child, please be sure to contact their classroom teacher.
We encourage you to support your child at home by discussing their school day, reading books, practicing math problem solving, and discussing science and social studies concepts. Additionally, it is a great idea to encourage your child to practice their written expression and creativity through writing by communicating their thoughts and expressions by drafting descriptive sentences and paragraphs.
As we head deeper into the months of fall and the 1st Marking Period of the school year, we look forward to celebrating your child's success in school along with continuing to receive your full support.
All the Best,
Eric Meredith
Principal
