Kohlberg Elementary Newletter
Week of 8-31-26
What a fantastic start we have had to i-Ready testing at Kohlberg Elementary! Our Coyotes are working hard, and we are excited to use the information from these assessments to better understand each student’s needs and let the data guide our interventions and instruction.
We are also excited that tutoring has officially started! A huge thank-you to all of our Kohlberg families who are partnering with us by making sure their children attend both tutoring days and stay for the additional 30 minutes. Your support and commitment make a tremendous difference in helping our students grow and succeed. We truly appreciate you!
As we head into a three-day weekend, I hope all of our Coyote families enjoy some well-deserved time together. Please stay safe, get plenty of rest, and enjoy the long weekend!

Reading At Home with BookFlix and ScienceFlix
Scholastic BookFlix is an online literacy resource that pairs classic animated stories from Weston Woods with thematically aligned nonfiction eBooks from Scholastic to build a love of reading and learning. This engaging digital resource for children in grades PreK–3 will help early readers develop and practice essential reading skills and introduces them to a world of knowledge and exploration. This interactive resource will help them get excited about reading and books and extends learning beyond school hours.
BookFlix includes: 159 classic animated stories, each paired with a related nonfiction eBook, Spanish language versions of 41 pairs of fiction and nonfiction, read-aloud supports so students can hear each book narrated, and hear definitions of key words and directions for each activity, and/ educational puzzlers so children can show what they have learned.
