PTA Weekly Update

Good morning Huskie Families,
It's Teacher Appreciation Week! Help us show gratitude for our amazing Spring Brook teachers and staff this week by participating in dress up and spirit days, giving your teacher a heartfelt note, or participate in your class's teacher gifts (room parents are organizing these - check your email for info from them!). In addition to fun spirit days, we are providing a variety of treats and meals throughout the week. Thank you so much to all of the families who donated to the parent-sponsored Tuesday luncheon.
Reminder: Just in time for spring planting and Mother's Day gifting, we are holding a fundraiser at Keller's Farmstand this Tuesday, May 5 and Saturday, May 9. Proceeds from sales on both dates will go back to our PTA. See below for all the details.
Finally, we held an election for 2026-2027 officers at last week's PTA Meeting. The officers from this year will serve again for next year:
- President: Marissa Kopp
- VP: Tiffany Malik
- Secretary: Meredith Schaffer
- Treasurer: Jennifer MacEachern

Teacher Appreciation Week Spirit Days!
Throughout Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTA will be honoring our amazing Spring Brook teachers and staff with tokens and gestures of our appreciation.
We're planning some fun spirt days and other activities to celebrate our teachers:
- Monday, May 4: Dress like it's the 90s!
- Tuesday, May 5: Show off your favorite trends from any time in the 2000s
- Wednesday, May 6: Give your teacher a thank you note
- Thursday, May 7: Show appreciation for your teachers in your own way
- Friday, May 8: Huskie Spirit Day
Get Your Flowers at the Keller's Farmstand Fundraiser
Earn money for the school while you pick up gorgeous flowers and plants! Stop by Keller's Farmstand in Naperville on May 5 and May 9, and present the attached flyer. Ten percent of all sales - on flowers and plants as well as other items - will go back to the Spring Brook PTA.
Where: Keller Farmstand, 516 Knoch Knolls Road, Naperville
When: Tuesday, May 5 and Saturday, May 9
Hours: Weekdays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Weekends 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
And bonus, this is just in time for Mother's Day! Why not grab an extra plant for a mother-figure in your life?
A Note from Our Community Relations Chair:
As the PTA looks for new ways to partner with the community to enrich the lives of our students, we are expanding our sponsorship program for events during the 2025-2026 school year.
If your family owns or is connected to a local business and is interested in sponsoring a Spring Brook event, please see the attached letter for more information or reach out to Ellen Muryan.

Final PTA Meeting of the Year on May 21
Please join us in the Multipurpose Room for our final all-member PTA meeting of the 2025-2026 school year. It will be held on Thursday, May 21 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
The board will meet to discuss upcoming plans, events, and more. You can ask questions, and hear from a guest Spring Brook staff member. Can't attend in person? Join via Google Meet.
Coming Soon: Field Day Volunteer Sign Up
Spring Brook's annual Field Day is around the corner, on May 27! We're planning fun-filled day to wrap up a great school year! K-2 and 3-5 grade students will each participate in a half-day filled with activities. Volunteer registration forms will go live soon.
Upcoming Oppotunities
