Ott's Outlook

September 2022

We are off to a fantastic start to the 2022-2023 school year! In many respects, the start of this year marks the closest “return to normal” start we have had since pre-pandemic. Our staff did an amazing job preparing to welcome our students back to school. You can really feel the excitement of our staff and students on campuses. We were able to capture some of this in the video below.

Enrollment across the district is up 300+ students than last year at the end of week one. This increase in students is aligned with demographic study predictions and why we need to prepare to serve our growing student population. This also validates the passage of our 2022 bond; and once again, we thank you for supporting our schools. We will continue to keep you updated on the status of Bond 2022 projects through our website and social media. We will also include a Bond 2022 Update section in this newsletter each month (see below).

Safety remains our top priority as we continue to implement, monitor and enforce protocols with fidelity. I would like to thank the Temple Police Department and our families for their support and cooperation with our procedures. As I have shared before, safety is not about convenience, and it cannot be compromised. Enjoy this month’s edition!

Sincerely,

Bobby Ott
