It was a great first week! Thank you to all of our students, families, and staff for helping to make the week such a success.

A few reminders: the district is closed on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day. Additionally, WHS has no school on Tuesday, September 8th due to the Primary Election.

We will be holding our annual Open House on Wednesday, September 9th from 6-8 pm. We are changing the format this year based on feedback to allow for more time in classrooms, as well as slightly longer passing times. As such, we will not be gathering in the auditorium, but instead parent/guardians are invited to attend each of their student's classes for 10 minutes with 5 minute passing times:

• 1A 6:05-6:15
• 1B 6:20-6:30
• 2A 6:35-6:45
• 2B 6:50-7:00
• 3A 7:05-7:15
• 3B 7:20-7:30
• 4A 7:35-7:45
• 4B 7:50-8:00

There will be a technology help desk set up, as well as special sessions offered by our school counseling department.

The add/drop period for Semester 1 ends on Friday, September 11th. All add/drop forms must be signed and returned to school counseling by Friday, 9/11 at 2:15 PM. Forms will be handed out until Thursday, 9/10 by school counselors.

Picture day is Thursday, 9/10 and C3 School Photography is thrilled to be back Windham High School this year! Picture day will continue to be paperless. Although prepayment is not required, it's an opportunity to receive free shipping to the school. (Please note, this code is for images taken on 9/10 only, orientation day prepay is now closed). To prepay, just follow these simple steps:

• Visit our website at C3schoolphotography.com
• Find the “Order Photos” dropdown box in the menu on the top right of the screen
• Click on “K-11 SCHOOLS”
• Find the “Order School Photos BEFORE Photo Day” option
• Click on “PRE-PAY SCHOOL PHOTOS” in the gray box
• Enter WHS26 as the password
• Enter your child’s first and last name and hit ‘search’
• Order your photos by the end of the day on 9/10

• Shout out to members of the WHS Modern Band, Abby Cioffi, Connor Dorogopulko, Daniel Hawe, Liam McGiveney, Yvonnia Burke, and Landon Mitchell, who performed for staff on opening day.
• Thank you to the Windham Endowment who provided a coffee break to our staff as part of the 20 Acts of Kindness Campaign
• Thank you to the PTA for providing snacks for staff during the first week.
