From the Desk of Dr. Rikki Hunt Taylor

Dear Meridian PCS Parents and Families,

As we celebrate the close of the 2025-2026 school year, I want to congratulate all of our students on their accomplishments and growth. A special congratulations to our 8th graders as they begin their high school journey, our 5th graders advancing to the new 6th Grade Academy, our kindergarten students moving on to 1st grade, and our Pre-K students who proudly participated in their stepping-up ceremonies.

To the families leaving the Owls’ Nest, thank you for being part of the Meridian community. We wish you continued success on your next educational adventure.

I am deeply grateful to our staff and families for their partnership and support throughout a busy and rewarding year – from academic testing and promotion ceremonies to field days and countless celebrations of learning.

As we head into summer, I hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved break filled with rest, joy, and time to recharge. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of serving the Meridian community during my first year as Executive Director. I look forward to welcoming new and returning families back for another successful school year ahead.

Have a safe and wonderful summer!

With Literacy and Justice for All,

Dr. Rikki Hunt-Taylor

Executive Director
