Patriot's Pointe

Greetings Patriot Families,
This will be our last week before we head into the Fall Break. 10th and 11th grade students will engage in the PSAT on Thursday, October 8th. The PSAT is designed to provide students with insights on how they are likely to perform on the SAT and students with a qualifying score can earn a National Merit Scholarship. On that same day, our Freshman will engage in activities designed to help them identify a career path and our Seniors will receive information on how to begin the process for ordering their graduation caps and gowns. Additionally, our grading window has closed and 9 week progress reports will be made available via Infinite Campus on Friday, October 9th at 4pm.
We invite all prospective college students to our annual PROBE Fair which will take place on Thursday, October 8th from 6pm-8pm in the commons. This is an opportunity for families to engage directly with college admissions officers and to gain valuable information regarding decision timelines, scholarship opportunities, and available financial aid for each school.
🎶 Please join us on Tuesday, October 6th for a joint concert featuring our SCHS Orchestra and Chorus. This event begins at 6:30pm in our auditorium and is open to the public.
🏈 Congratulations to Coach Smiley and our Varsity Football team for another great performance last week scoring 63-6 over Woodland High School. We were also fortunate enough to win Fox 5 Game of the Week! The Patriot's are off for the next two weeks and will resume play at home following our Fall Break.
🚩Congratulations to Coach Comeau and our Lady Patriot's Flag Football team for an incredible double header defeating both teams last week. Creek wins 26-0 over Spalding High School and defeats Landmark Christian 13-6.
Please come out and support our student athletes at home this week. A schedule of all of our events can be found further down in our "Weekly Happenings" section.
Here’s to a powerful start and a year where we will Do Hard Things!
We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a Competitive Advantage!

Teacher of the Month: September
Congratulations to our teacher of the month, Mrs. Jill Lloyd. She has demonstrated exemplary classroom instructional strategies in the areas of retrieval practice and writing to learn. Her students consistently demonstrate what they know from a previous lesson by writing it down without the use of notes or other instructional aides. Electronic Device Policy
At Sandy Creek High School, we are committed to creating a learning environment where every student can thrive. To support a strong and focused start to the school year, students may not use personal electronic devices including cell phones, earbuds/headphones, Meta glasses, smart watches, or similar devices, during the school day. This expectation applies in all areas of the building, including classrooms, hallways, the cafeteria, gym/locker rooms, and restrooms. By minimizing distractions and maximizing opportunities for engagement, we are helping our students build meaningful connections, remain present in their learning, and begin the year with the habits that lead to success. We appreciate your partnership and support as we work together to provide every student with a positive learning experience.
Parent Square: Your Hub for Communication!
The Parent Square app is available in the App Store and Google Play.
The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
Get started with Infinite Campus
The Infinite Campus app is available in the App Store and Google Play.

School bus information will also be available in your student's Campus Portal account as well as on the BusQuest mobile app.
Please note that new enrollments and address changes may take up to 48 hours to be processed by the Transportation Department. This time is needed to assign students to a bus stop and/or adjust their route if necessary.

Friends and Family Sponsorship
We have a rich tradition in athletics here at Sandy Creek with more than 10 State Championships in sports such as football, basketball, track, and volleyball.
Our scoreboard was built in 1991 and we are in need of a new board to match our dynamic and talented athletic teams. The vision at Sandy Creek High School is to provide students a competitive advantage in whatever endeavor they choose after high school. With your assistance we can help the students prepare for those endeavors while branding your business and supporting our community. Please view the information attached about the sponsorship and digital scoreboard.
We would like to recognize our FIRST Family Sponsor, The Harvey Family! The Harvey Family has donated $1,000 to our scoreboard fundraiser and we are hoping you can match or double their contribution soon! Who will be next to accept the challenge????
Corporate Sponsorship
SCHS hopes that your company would be interested in becoming a premier sponsor for our digital scoreboard program! Choose from one of four value packages below to present your brand and message to students and fans within your community while supporting the schools and helping fund a platform that provides real career opportunities for students
