Homework

The homework packet this week is pink. Please time your child for 1 minute as they read the passage and record how many words they read correctly and how many errors on the bottom. The goal is that they will improve each day. You can count minutes spent on the decodable passage as part of the expected 20 minutes. Please make good use of this time and if your student struggles, find something that engages and makes reading fun. Homework is due Friday. If you are unable to complete it by Friday, you can turn it in as soon as it is finished.

Easily Access Programs We Use

What is Clever?

Clever is an app/website that allows students to log into multiple programs through the click of a button. By logging in through a computer or scanning their clever badge on a mobile device (QR code sent home with them), you can access programs the same way we use in school at home. If you ever have questions, please reach out and I am happy to help troubleshoot.

How to log into Clever on a Computer

Go to www.clever.com/in/wasatch-peak-academy

How to log in to Clever on a Phone/Tablet

I have sent home a QR code to stay in the back of your child's take home folder. Here are directions on how to log in:

Tablet/iPad/phone with the QR code

  • Download the Clever app (logo above - the blue and white C)
  • Scan the Clever Badge (QR Code) within the Clever app
    • If you just use the camera app on the device, it will NOT load properly. The QR must be scanned through the Clever app.
    • It may have an option for "Clever Badge Login" if the camera option does not automatically show up. Select this and the camera should appear. If needed, select "allow camera" to scan the badge.
  • Once the scan has shown a checkmark, your child should have access to Clever.

What to do at Home! What to do at Home!

Read 20 minutes each night with your child! Reading with your child each night is a powerful way to build their literacy skills, strengthen vocabulary, and foster a lifelong love of learning. Even just 20 minutes a day can make a big difference in their academic growth and confidence as readers.
