Working With Families to Create a Destination District
Dear Families,
This week, I celebrated my 100th Day in the role as your Superintendent. I am more grateful than ever to have the opportunity to lead the District.
Over the coming weeks, I will share a few highlights of the 100-Day Report I presented to the Board of Trustees:
We’re focusing on rebuilding trust. That includes launching “CCSD Cares,” customer service standards built on the theory of “Mutual Courtesy, Mutual Respect.”
What does that mean for parents and guardians? We want to:
Greet every person who walks through our doors
Follow up on all inquiries from families within 48 business hours
Ensure that all phone calls are transferred to an actual person (not sent to voicemail)
This is one example of how we are working to become the Destination District for students and families.

Empowering Family Choice
Starting in the 2026–27 school year, COSA will become Open Enrollment, with a simpler, more family-friendly application.
“Open Enrollment gives every family the freedom to choose a school where their child can thrive, discover their passions, and reach their fullest potential,” said Gia Moore, assistant superintendent of the College and Career Readiness and School Choice Division.
What’s next: For the 2026–2027 school year, applications are scheduled to open this October for all CCSD school choice options, including Magnet Schools, Career and Technical Academies, Central Technical Training Academy, and Open Enrollment.
