South Park PTO Spotlight

HUGE THANK YOU to our incredible Staff Appreciation Week Committee, Becky Wolf, Desiree Novak, Katie Horan and Lindsey Pearlman, who have been working for months creating a special, memorable and meaningful week for our staff. You have been so creative, organized and dedicated!! Thank you for all you have done and will do next week!!!

We also want to thank the South Park community for coming together and donating raffle prizes for our staff and toys for our Helping Hands Day project. We have asked so much of you these past few weeks and we appreciate YOU! Thank you again!!! We couldn't make this all happen without your continued support.

Raffle Donations Needed - We are collecting prizes to provide to our amazing staff in celebration of Staff Appreciation Week. You can help by purchasing gift cards to your favorite shops, restaurants, salons, or anywhere you think our staff would enjoy! You are also welcome to provide new and unused gift items as well. Last year, we were able to secure a prize for every staff member and are hoping to again this year, but we need your help! Drop off donations with Becky Wolf by May 6th. You can coordinate a drop off with her directly at 973-420-4066.

No time to shop? No worries! We are collecting cash donations via Venmo and Zelle that we will convert into prizes. Please Venmo donations to @HoranFam or Zelle donations to khoran519@gmail.com.

The staff raffle is a major highlight of the entire week (ask your kids about last year!) and it would be amazing if this community could gather enough donations for every staff member to win a prize!

Chalk the Blacktop THIS WEEKEND – The weekend forecast looks beautiful! Please swing by South Park with your sidewalk chalk and decorate the blacktops! The staff will see the messages and wonderful artwork as they walk into school on Monday.

In support of Helping Hands day, we are seeking donations to assemble summer activity bags for Gratitude Generation. Bags will go to children in local low income families. Each bag needs 6 special activities—we encourage you to bring something with you as part of the “VIP Day” on May 2nd and May 3rd, and donations will be accepted until May 10.

There will be collection bins by the gym and in the front lobby of school. Thank you!

Donations needed:

• Paper grocery bags
• Small package of sidewalk chalk
• Jump rope
• Small bubbles or tube of bubbles
• Play doh
• Small package of crayons
• Coloring books
• Yo-yo
• Cards or small travel games

Please sign up to be a classroom representative for the 2024-2025 school year. Room reps are responsible for coordinating volunteers for class parties, communication for special events between the teacher and the class and coordinating class gifts. The PTO can't do it without you! Please reach out if you have any questions.
