The CP Showcase provided incoming freshmen and their families an opportunity to explore, plan, and connect with everything College Park has to offer. From student programs and extracurricular opportunities to Advanced Academics, Dual Credit, and our High School 101 presentation, the evening highlighted the many pathways available to help students succeed and get involved on campus.
Take a few minutes to review the event and learn more about how College Park supports every Cavalier’s journey by watching the video at the link below!
Thank You, Coach Coats
Cavaliers,
I want to share that Coach Coats will be moving on to a new professional opportunity. While we are saddened to see him go, we are grateful for the impact he has made on College Park.
Coach Coats has shown an unwavering commitment to our students and staff. His leadership has strengthened not only our athletic program but our entire school community. Because of his influence, we are a better athletic program, a better school, and better people. His dedication to developing young men and women of character, discipline, and resilience will leave a lasting legacy on our campus.
Please join me in thanking Coach Coats for all he has done and in wishing him the best in his next chapter.
As we move forward, Coach Howard will serve as Interim Head Coach, and Coach Collins Gibson will serve as Interim Campus Athletic Director. We will begin the search for our new Head Coach and Athletic Director immediately. As part of this process, I will collect feedback from students, staff, and parents on the qualities we value most in our next head coach.
Thank you for always supporting our athletic program and our students. College Park will keep moving forward with Commitment, Pride, Honor, and Success!
Mr. Mac

CP Theatre Department Present Mockingbird
Don't Miss College Park's 2026 UIL One-Act Play, Mockingbird
It's the story of Caitlin, an 11-year-old girl on the autism spectrum. Not all things make sense to her. Emotions are mysterious and voices are almost always too loud. Suddenly, she must grapple with the unthinkable: a mass shooting has taken her brother away. He was the one person who helped her cope. Now she is alone with her grieving father and a cacophony of children at school. She struggles to understand empathy, what facial expressions mean and why a drawing might have more than one color. We see the world from Caitlin’s point of view. We struggle as she does. We also take comfort in the times when she finds a friend, draws a multicolored mockingbird and can finally cry for her brother.
Performances are February 25, 26, and March 5 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are available at https://collegeparktheatre.ludus.com

College Park Grad Night
Cavalier Compass is a weekly video from our school counseling team, shared with all students during their Wednesday advisory. Its purpose is to provide resources, encouragement, and real-life skills that support students both in and out of the classroom. Topics range from study habits and course planning to mental health awareness, healthy lifestyles, and digital citizenship. Our goal is to connect with students in a fun, positive way while giving them tools to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
If you have any questions about Cavalier Compass, please reach out to our lead counselor, Kasey Lucas (kllucas@conroeisd.net).

CPHS wants All Cavaliers to Achieve. A large part of student success is related to student attendance. We want to teach our Cavs all we can in the days that we have with them. Please encourage your student to attend every period to gain the knowledge they need to be successful. In the event your child does miss school, please be sure to email our attendance office or see the new Student Absence Reporting App information below. Also, please remind your child to get with their teacher about any work they missed. We would also like to remind you that your child will be at risk of losing credit and parents/guardians may have to go to court due to attendance.
We encourage all parents to sign up for the SMART tag™ Parent App, which provides real-time updates on your child’s school bus. You’ll receive alerts when the bus is arriving, along with notifications about any delays or route changes.
Please note that we will no longer be using Bus Hubs to communicate bus delays—so be sure to download and activate the SMART tag™ Parent App to stay informed and connected.
Stay Connected with the SMART tag™ Parent App
We encourage all parents to sign up for the SMART tag™ Parent App, as we will no longer be using Bus Hubs to notify families of bus delays. The app provides real-time updates on your child’s school bus, including arrival alerts, notifications for delays, and route changes.
