SALISBURY COMMUNITY SCHOOL
Summer Newsletter 6/17/26
Our last day of teacher inservice was yesterday and we are officially finished for the school year. Whew. What a year it was!
There's not much more to say, but I do want to share some important information about summer meals and some fun pictures from the last few days of school.
I will be around this summer, in and out of the building, so please reach out by email if you would like to connect about something.
Summer is an important time for kids to rest and enjoy lots of play, exercise, social time and experiential learning. Reading and practicing math is also important, but should be fun and brief (well, maybe not if you find a good book to read and just can't put it down --that's strongly encouraged!). Please reach out to me if you are looking for ways for your child to practice foundational academic skills this summer. We have lots of resources we can share.
Thanks again for a great first year. I have learned so much about Salisbury --both it's school and the community. I am very much looking forward to year two of my principalship, but not before some much needed rest and down-time. And swimming, and hiking, and biking, and kayaking, and paddle ball, and concerts, and cleaning (yup), and sleep.
Have a wonderful summer and I hope to see you around!
Take care,
Tracey

Waterhouses was wet AND fun!
Everyone had a wonderful time swimming, fishing, eating and hanging out on Thursday at Waterhouses. Thank you to all the parent volunteers, to the teachers & staff and especially our three amazing lifeguards. The water play was fun and safe --and what a great day it was for swimming!
Circling of the buses
Our last tradition of the year --to circle the buses in the bus loop as we all wave good-bye.
Good bye!!
