πŸ’œ The Roots of Doris Hoffman πŸ’œ The Roots of Doris Hoffman

This week at Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center, we continue nurturing the roots of patience as our Little Indians practice staying calm, flexible, and understanding in their daily routines.

In early childhood, patience often develops in small, meaningful ways β€” waiting just a little longer, trying again when something doesn’t work right away, or taking a deep breath during a frustrating moment. Our teachers are modeling and encouraging strategies like using gentle hands, calm voices, and positive self-talk to help children manage those moments.

You may notice patience growing at home when your child pauses before reacting, works through a challenge without giving up, or shows kindness while waiting their turn.

Together, we are helping children build the skills they need to navigate the world with confidence, care, and understanding β€” one patient moment at a time.

πŸ’œ Rooted in Heart. Driven by Purpose.

This week, our Little Indians are continuing to grow in patience as they learn that some of the most important things in life take time.

In our classrooms, patience is being practiced through everyday routines β€” waiting for a friend to finish speaking, taking turns during play, and staying calm when something feels challenging. We are encouraging children to use kind words, calm bodies, and problem-solving strategies as they work through moments of waiting and frustration.

You can help strengthen patience at home by:
⭐ Letting your child help with a simple task that takes time, like baking or planting flowers
πŸ•’ Practicing waiting with short countdowns such as β€œWe will leave in 5 minutes”
πŸ’¬ Praising their effort with phrases like β€œI’m proud of how patiently you waited” or β€œYou stayed so calm while waiting your turn”

These small moments help children build self-control, resilience, and kindness that will support them in school and beyond.

Thank you for partnering with us as we continue growing strong hearts and strong character together. πŸ’œ

Bus Route Information

MVR-III uses the BusRight Parent App to communicate bus routes and times with parents. BusRight is a FREE parent app to allow parents to, in real-time, follow their child’s bus route to and from school, receive notifications when the bus begins and ends its route, view the expected arrival time at your child’s designated bus stop, and receive communication from the Transportation Department.

To access BusRight, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Download the App: Download the BusRight app from your mobile device's app store.

  2. Create an Account: Use your Infinite Campus email address to create a login.

  3. Track Your Student: Begin tracking your child's bus routes immediately.

If you have issues creating your account, you will need to verify with your school building office that you are listed as the primary guardian in Infinite Campus. Find out more on BusRight on the District website under Transportation.

πŸ”š Final Note... πŸ”š Final Note...

As we wrap up another wonderful week at Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center, we continue to see our Little Indians growing in patience through the small but meaningful moments of each day. Whether it is waiting for a turn, staying calm during transitions, or trying again when something feels difficult, these moments are helping our students build important life skills that will support them far beyond the classroom.

Spring is such a special season at Doris Hoffman, filled with growth, discovery, and so many joyful experiences. Our classrooms are buzzing with learning, laughter, and excitement as we head into the final stretch of the school year, and we are so grateful to share these moments with your children.

Thank you for your continued partnership, encouragement, and support at home. Together, we are helping our Little Indians grow into thoughtful, kind, and resilient learners.

πŸ’œ Rooted in Heart. Driven by Purpose.

With gratitude,

Mrs. Amy Huson
