🚸 Thank You for Keeping Our Falcons Safe

Thank you for your patience and partnership during pick up and drop off. Our safety procedures only work because of you, and we have noticed how carefully so many of our families are following them each day. You are modeling our Farnham 3 Personal Standards in action, and our students see you Make Good Decisions and Show Respect every morning and afternoon.

We know mornings can feel rushed, but no amount of hurry is worth putting a child at risk. As drivers, we all share the responsibility of keeping our students, families, and neighbors safe in the parking lot and on the streets around our school. Please remember:

Yield to pedestrians of all ages in the parking lot and in the crosswalks. It's the law!
No parking in red zones. It's the law!
Use designated crosswalks when crossing the street and help keep crosswalks clear for pedestrians.
Remember there is NO DROP OFF in the Parking Lot

Thank you for doing your part to keep Farnham and our surrounding neighborhood safe. Together, we can make every arrival and dismissal a safe one!

A Message from Our Principal

Dear Farnham Families,

We are so fortunate to have such a caring community built around our students. Every day, we see families, staff, volunteers, and neighbors working together to help our Falcons feel safe, supported, and celebrated. Whether you are cheering on students at an assembly, donating to our Giving Campaign, joining us for Movie Night, or simply slowing down in the parking lot, you are showing our children just how much they matter. Thank you for being such an important part of our Falcon Family!

🎬 Family Movie Night is THIS Friday!

Our Home and School Club is hosting our very first Family Movie Night of the year, and we will be showing The Super Mario Galaxy Movie!

When: Friday, September 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Where: Farnham Cafeteria
Cost: Free admission and free popcorn!

Treats will also be available for purchase. Please bring a blanket or something comfy to sit on, and students are encouraged to bring along a favorite stuffy to enjoy the show with them. A big thank you to our Home and School Club for bringing our Falcon Family together for this fun evening!

💙 Thank You for Supporting the Farnham Giving Campaign

Thank you to every family who has already donated to our Farnham Giving Campaign! Your generosity makes a real difference for our students, funding assemblies, enrichment programs, and special experiences that help our Falcons learn, grow, and shine.

If your family has not yet had a chance to give, we invite you to donate today. Every gift, no matter the size, supports our students directly. When we all participate, our whole Falcon Family soars!

🎯 Student Goal Setting Conferences Begin Next Week

Student Goal Setting Conferences will take place from Tuesday, September 29 through Thursday, October 8. These conferences are a collaboration among the student, teacher, and parent to set goals for the year ahead. Our students are active participants in their learning, so it is important that they join the conversation. When students help set their own goals, they take ownership of their growth and feel proud of the progress they make.

To accommodate conferences, students will be dismissed early each day during the conference window:

TK and Kindergarten: 1:00 pm
1st to 3rd Grade: 1:15 pm
4th and 5th Grade: 1:25 pm

Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have not yet scheduled your conference time.

We can't wait to see you at Movie Night and at conferences!

Be well,

Amy O'Hehir

Farnham Principal

CEF Volunteer Support Fund

Open the Door to More Volunteers

Volunteers make our schools stronger. They support classrooms, field trips, student activities, and school programs - and students benefit when parents and community members can be involved.

The new volunteer clearance process includes a $77 fingerprinting cost, which can be a barrier for some families.

Help Remove the Barrier

Cambrian Educational Foundation (CEF) has launched the Volunteer Support Fund with an initial $3,000 investment to help provide financial assistance for required fingerprinting.

Your donation can help multiply that impact by helping more parents and community members become cleared volunteers.

To direct your donation to this fund, visit www.cambrianef.org/giving.

Under "Please direct my support to:" select "Volunteer Support Fund" from the dropdown menu.

LOST & FOUND

We want to keep lost and found to a minimum this year, so please write your child's name on jackets, lunch boxes, backpacks, and water bottles.

If lost items are labeled, we will do our best to return them to the student.

School Absences:

If your child will be absent or tardy, please call the automated 24 hour attendance line before the school day begins. Absences not cleared will be recorded as a truancy. Farnham's 24 hour automated attendance line is 408-377-3321 EXT 4102.

Avoid Tardies

Being on time to school is a great way to start the day (students do not like walking into class late). Please avoid tardies at all costs. Gates open at 8:05 am, and close (and lock) at 8:15 am when the instructional day begins. After 8:15 am, everyone must check in through the school office, and students will walk themselves to class.
