Irving Families,
I hope you all saw my email and Seesaw message about Trunk or Treat being postponed from this Saturday, October 18th, to next Saturday, October 25th. We’re looking forward to a fun afternoon together! If you’re interested in decorating your car and handing out candy, please sign up using this LINK.
We’ll also have our Candy Monster set up in the front office! Please consider donating a bag (or two) of candy to help make Trunk or Treat a success for our students and families.
Next week, we’ll be celebrating Unity Day on Wednesday. Unity Day is a nationwide event that promotes kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. It’s a day for schools and communities to come together against bullying and to show support for one another. We invite all students and staff to wear orange to show that Irving stands united for kindness and respect.
Also next week, on Thursday, our school will conduct a lockdown drill in collaboration with the Berwyn Police Department. These drills are an important part of our safety routines, helping staff and students know what to do in the unlikely event of an emergency. We encourage you to talk with your child afterward and reassure them that these drills are just practice, much like a fire or tornado drill, and that our school is a safe place.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in keeping our school community caring and safe.
Mr. Stachura
