Report cards are available to view using Parent Portal starting November 10 after 2:00 p.m. There is a Report Card tab on the left side of the screen that you need to click to access your child's Report Card. Please make sure to look over your child's report card to see the progress that is being made. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher. Parent Teacher Conferences are also a great opportunity to see how your child is progressing on the grade level standards. If you have not scheduled a time to meet with your child's teacher, please do so as soon as possible. Teachers are able to see if you have viewed your child's report card, so if you haven't, they might send you a message to make sure you are able to access it. If you have any questions or need help accessing your child's report card, please contact the Oakland Schools Help Desk at 248-209-2060.

Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 11. If you are not satisfied with your child's original picture or if your child was not photographed on Picture Day, we will be offering this opportunity.

You may preorder a picture packet online prior to Picture Retake Day at www.kaiserstudio.com using the school ID code: 2526UPTON.

If you ordered pictures and want them retaken, have your child return their picture package to the photographer for a picture retake.

The PTA will be having a Bagel Sale this week. Bagel forms are due on Tuesday, November 11. Bagels will be delivered on Friday, November 14.

Our Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on Wednesday, November 12, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and on Thursday, November 13, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. & 4:00-7:00 p.m. These are by appointment only. Please contact your child's teacher if you still need to arrange a date for conferences.

When you come to conferences, please check our "LOST and FOUND" for your child's missing clothing items.

There will be a Half Day of School on November 13. Students will be dismissed at 12:15 p.m. There will be NO Afternoon Latchkey on this date.

Attendance at school every day is very important to a child's education. There are times when students need to be absent. We ask that you call the office if your child is going to be absent from school and provide any necessary documentation (i.e. doctor's notes) to the Main Office. Please keep in mind that excessive absences (18 or more school days including half day absences) will lead to a referral to Royal Oak Youth Assistance or our School Truancy Officer.

Students who are tardy to school also miss valuable instruction. If your child is tardy, you need to come into the office and sign your child in on the yellow form.

If you pick up your child from school prior to regular dismissal time, you also need to sign your child out on the yellow form.
