High School Campus Updates
Greetings Grizzly Families.
I hope the break was a time for rest and rejuvenation. I look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, September 2nd. Please continue to have your scholar on time, following dress code guidelines, and ready to learn each and every day. I appreciate your support as we continue to create a successful school experience for each of our Grizzlies.
Sincerely,
Dr. Morris
DRIVERS EDUCATION ELIGIBILITY FORM (for learner's permit)
Please email the school-level Principal or Assistant Principal to have a document drafted and set up a time to meet for completion. Please allow 72 hours from the time you request the certificate to when you pick it up. This document requires a parent/guardian to come to the school for completion and is good for 30 days.
TRANSCRIPT REQUEST
If you need a transcript, please use the CGS Transcript Request Form and allow 72 hours for your request to be completed. Mrs. Walther is updating transcripts for those who took summer classes. Once updates have been finalized, the transcript request will be completed. Thank you for your patience.
DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Do you have a snapshot camera you no longer use? Mrs. Miner is in need of additional digital cameras to use in Digital Photography 1 and 2. If you have a digital camera you'd like to donate, please contact Mrs. Miner (shelleyminer@cgsnc.org).
ACC/CCP STUDENT INFORMATION UPDATE
Parents of students taking dual enrollment courses at ACC, your student received an email concerning Leon's Law. If a student is under 18, the college must share academic information with the student's parent/guardian if requested. This means that if a parent reaches out to the college to inquire about a student's schedule, grades, etc., they will share that information. It does not mean the college is actively sending information or providing access to their student portals. It also does not mean that the parent can make academic decisions for the student (adding/dropping classes, etc). Once a student turns 18, they must sign a FERPA waiver for the college to be able to provide information to a parent.

The program now includes more UNC System schools, NC Independent Colleges and Universities and NC Community Colleges. Students are directly admitted and can accept offers by completing a short form on CFNC.org.
