KINDNESS WONDER WALL KINDNESS WONDER WALL

zoom_out_map

Our theme this year is inspired by the book *We're All Wonders* by R.J. Palacio, which focuses on acceptance, kindness, and celebrating differences. The story encourages readers to look beyond appearances and appreciate the unique beauty within everyone. It fosters empathy and teaches the importance of treating others with kindness and respect, regardless of physical differences.

To uplift our staff, we're inviting everyone to submit a message on our Kindness Wonder Wall. These messages, whether about specific individuals or the school as a whole, will be displayed for all to see.

You can view their progress and growth in both reading and math through the i-Ready Family Center or by reaching out to your child’s teacher for a printed report. This data is a great way to see how far they’ve come and how to support them over the summer.

🌍 Multicultural Night
Multicultural night will be on Thursday at 5:00pm. We hope to see everyone celebrating on Thursday.

📅 Register for Next Year
If you haven’t already, please make sure to complete your child’s registration for the 2025–2026 school year. This helps us plan for staffing, classrooms, and materials. You can register through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal or call the office for assistance.

💙 A Personal Note
As we close out the school year, I want to share how truly lucky I have been to serve as the principal of Desert Heights for the past five years. It has been one of the greatest honors of my professional life to work alongside such dedicated staff, amazing students, and supportive families. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this incredible journey.

Let’s finish the year strong, and as always—Go Coyotes!

SCHOOL EXPECTATIONS SCHOOL EXPECTATIONS

"Have Respect on the Playground"

In their video, students showcased how to demonstrate respect on the playground by modeling key behaviors from our H.O.W.L. expectations: Taking turns and sharing equipment with others. Using kind words and playing fairly. Keeping hands, feet, and objects to themselves to ensure everyone's safety. Listening and following directions from adults on duty. Being a good sport, even when games don’t go their way. Their video was a great reminder that respectful behavior helps make recess fun, safe, and inclusive for everyone.
