PSAT 10 at Lakeland

Just a reminder that the PSAT 10 will be administered on March 10, 2026. All students will report to the auditorium on March 5th during period 6 to complete a readiness check and gain access to the practice test.

On test day, students will report to homeroom for attendance first and then to their testing room at the announcement.

Room rosters are hanging on the cafeteria windows so students should check their testing room prior to test day.

Suggestions:

• Get a good night sleep on Monday night. Go to bed at a reasonable time (9?)
• Eat a healthy breakfast. Don't eat a huge heavy meal that might make you tired but eat something to keep your energy up.
• Complete the practice test activities
• Check out Official SAT Prep on Khan Academy.
• Calculators, pencils and scrap will be provided but bring your own if that makes you more comfortable.

On March 10, 2026, ALL sophomores will take the PSAT 10, the preliminary version of the SAT. There is no cost for students in 10th grade to take the test, and it will take place during the school day. CTC students will be excused from CTC on the test day.

Review the information below to prepare for the test. Current sophomores will also have one more opportunity next fall to take another PSAT before officially planning and registering for the SAT in the spring of their junior year! The PSAT/NMSQT typically takes place in October, and students need to register. More information about this will come out in the fall. Students are encouraged to give their best effort in March so that they know where they stand when setting goals and planning post-secondary options.

Once score reports are released, we will share additional resources to students & parents to help with understanding the scores & taking the appropriate steps to improve students' scores for the next PSAT or SAT.

All PSAT and SAT testing is digital. In order to take the test, students must have the Bluebook app downloaded on their computers. All Lakeland-issued computers already have Bluebook downloaded and ready to be used. There will be a brief pre-administration session on a few days before the test during Lunch & Learn for all 10th grade students so that we can ensure everyone is ready to test.

The College Board is the company that offers the SAT. They have resources for you to practice including full length tests. For every official SAT practice test, Khan Academy has a matching review course to walk you through each question. Not only can you read through a detailed answer explanation, but you can also jump immediately to a lesson that covers the skills you need to answer similar questions in the future.
