Please review our Welcome Newsletter to help prepare for a successful voyage during the 2026-2027 school year! Inside, you'll find important information, resources, and updates to help your family set sail with confidence on the first day of school.

• Our offices are available for assistance daily from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

• Between Monday, July 27, 2026, and Friday, August 7, 2026, there will be limited office assistance due to Teacher Planning and several important school events, including mandatory staff trainings, Parent Orientations, Meet and Greet events, and Franklin Kickstart for our Kindergarten families.

• We appreciate your understanding, support, and patience during this time as we continue working to enhance our campus and better prepare for the upcoming school year.

The 2026 Florida Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday is scheduled from July 20 through August 20, providing a full month of savings on essential back-to-school items.

What began as a short tax-free weekend has now expanded into a month-long opportunity each year, giving families more time to prepare for the school year.

During this sales tax holiday:

• You will not pay the 6% Florida state sales tax
• You will also be exempt from any local discretionary surtax
• Savings apply to qualifying items, including clothing, shoes, school supplies, and more

This event—often referred to as “tax-free weekend” or “sales tax holiday”—is designed to help families save on back-to-school purchases.

Florida’s 2026 tax-free period is part of HB 7031E, passed by the Florida Legislature in June 2026, and will take effect upon the Governor’s approval.

Franklin Academy is strictly a NO CASH school.

As a reminder of our long-standing policy regarding payment methods, personal checks are always accepted as payment on/after July 1 until April 30.

Uniforms are required and our dress code is enforced. To ensure equity and safety,

school uniforms must be purchased from iUniforms, our only approved uniform vendor.

Supply lists for all K–8/MYP Y3 homerooms are available!

Check your child’s school supply list and stock up now!

Students enrolled in grades K-5 who have a sibling enrolled in grades 6-8/MYP Years 1-3 will be permitted to remain on campus in a supervised environment until their sibling is dismissed at 3:15 PM. Additionally, 6th through 8th grades/MYP Years 1-3 students who have siblings in grades K-5 may arrive on campus beginning at 7 AM with their K-5 sibling. This is a no-cost service to our families.
