Eisenhower's Fun Run Eisenhower's Fun Run

Our Eisenhower Fun Run was a tremendous success! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Eisenhower families, friends, and community, we EXCEEDED our fundraising goal raising $17,550.

Monday was a wonderful morning filled with exercise, music, excitement, and school spirit! It was so special to see our families come together to cheer on our students, celebrate their accomplishments, and make lasting memories. A special thank you to Fraser Public Safety for joining us with a fire truck and ambulance for students to explore. From the awesome DJ and music to the popsicles and enthusiastic cheering, our Eagles had an amazing time!

We are especially grateful to our Eisenhower PTO for the time, energy, and dedication they put into making this event such a success. Student rewards will be coming home soon!

To our amazing Eisenhower families, we cannot thank you enough! Your generosity, encouragement, and enthusiasm mean so much to our school community. Whether you donated, shared our fundraiser, volunteered, or came out to cheer on our Eagles, you helped make this event truly special. We are incredibly fortunate to have families who show up, give back, and support our students in so many ways. Because of YOU, we can provide additional resources, engaging learning opportunities, special activities, schoolwide celebrations, and memorable experiences that benefit ALL of our Eisenhower students.

Thank you for being such an important part of our Eisenhower family. Together, we are helping our Eagles learn, grow, and SOAR!

Learning from the Heart Learning from the Heart

Mrs. Arnold and Mrs. Taylor’s classes have been busy exploring “The Heart!”, our Module 1 theme from the Wit and Wisdom language arts curriculum. Students are discovering what the heart means both literally and figuratively while settling into our new learning routines. One classroom favorite has quickly become “Mannequin!” Be sure to ask your student what it means to be a mannequin in our classroom. Their answer is sure to make you smile!

Eisenhower 1st graders are buidling a strong creative foundation by exploring the elements of art, learning about color theory, and reviewing proper artistic techniques. Students are learning to identify and manipulate the elements of art focusing on line, shapes, and colors to incorporate into their artwork. 1st graders are currently working on creating a unique robot focusing on these 3 art elements. Students have also explored the color wheel, focusing on warm and cool colors to create a sunset. The 1st graders are reviewing the proper techniques of coloring, painting, and caring for the materials in the art room. By blending these foundational concepts with practical skills, our 1st graders are developing both vocabulary and the fine motor skills needed to create beautiful artwork!

The district does not allow the delivery of food and beverages from outside vendors or fast food establishments for a student’s breakfast or lunch meal. All meals are to be provided by either our Food Service program or prepared at home and sent with your student.

Outside food delivery is a safety concern. We do not want to have strangers and people that we do not know coming to our buildings with delivery bags. It also is a workload issue for office personnel. Managing multiple food deliveries during lunchtime becomes an additional responsibility for our office staff.

The District works hard to provide a variety of healthy, good-tasting food in its cafeterias, and students are always free to bring their own lunch to school. We will continue to follow our past practice of making sure students receive lunch if they forget to bring one from home.

Red Ribbon Week: October 23–31

2026 Theme: “Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.™”

Red Ribbon Week is a time for schools and families to encourage healthy, positive choices. At Eisenhower, our celebration will begin Monday, September 28 and continue throughout October, leading up to a week of activities from October 26–30.

Wear Red Mondays: Students are encouraged to wear red on September 28 and October 5, 12, 19, and 26. We’ll also share Red Ribbon announcements on those days.

Learning and activities: In HEART classes, students will discuss healthy habits and positive choices and make a pledge to live drug free. Students in grades 1–6 will complete the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs unit during October. All students and staff will receive red awareness bracelets to wear during Red Ribbon Week. Each school day from October 26–30, five students wearing their bracelets will be randomly selected to win a prize—25 winners in all!

Spirit days, October 26–30. -SEE BELOW...

Poster contest: Students in grades 4–6 may choose to create a Red Ribbon poster. HEART teachers will collect entries, and winning posters from each grade will be displayed in the district during November.

Thank you for helping our students make healthy choices and celebrate Red Ribbon Week!

Morning Arrival Safety & Supervision Morning Arrival Safety & Supervision

  • The first bell rings at 8:30 a.m. There is no outdoor adult supervision before 8:30 a.m. Please avoid dropping students off before 8:20 or leaving them unattended.

  • Line-up expectations: Students should go directly to their assigned entrance/door and wait calmly in line.

  • No play before school: The playground is closed before the first bell. Students should not be running around, playing tag or ball games, or using playground equipment during this time.

  • Early grades: In the early grades, parents/guardians are encouraged to wait with their child until the child enters the building.

Recently, we have noticed an increase in early drop offs and unsupervised play before 8:30 a.m. We appreciate your help in correcting this so that no one gets hurt and everyone starts the day ready to learn.

Thank you for your support and partnership. If you have any questions, please contact our office.

Dismissal Dismissal

This is an important reminder that our dismissal time is 3:30 PM. Please make the necessary arrangements to ensure your child is picked up on time each day.

Our office closes promptly at 4:00 PM, and this is not an extension of the regular pick-up time.

We understand that unexpected delays may occasionally occur; however, timely pick-up is essential for the safety and well-being of our students and allows our staff to fulfill their end-of-day responsibilities.

We appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and your cooperation in ensuring that all students are picked up at the designated dismissal time of 3:30 PM.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Halloween Around Eisenhower Halloween Around Eisenhower

  • Parade: A short "Halloween Parade" will take place beginning at 10:00AM on Friday, October 30th. Weather permitting, we will parade out of the building and around the bus loop. Our Y5s & kindergarten students will lead the parade around each classroom and then out around the building. All are welcome to come and watch our costume parade outdoors!

  • Classroom Activities: Classrooms/grade levels will be planning for Halloween activities and celebrations individually, either before or after the parade. If teachers request parent volunteers to help facilitate the classroom activities, all volunteers will have to submit a Background Check.

  • Costumes: Students may come to school in costume on Friday, October 30th. They can stay in costume for the duration of the day. Costumes need to be school appropriate and cannot depict violence or excess blood/gore. No fake weapons are allowed in school (i.e. toy guns, swords, blades, etc). Costume masks can be worn for the parade, but not throughout the day. For costumes that have short skirts/shorts, leggings or pants need to be worn underneath.

Free Breakfast & Lunch for All Students!

Michigan is continuing its commitment to providing free breakfast and lunch to all students during the 2026–27 school year!

While meals are free for all students, we still encourage every family to complete the Education Benefits Form: https://fraser.familyportal.cloud/. Completing the form helps Fraser receive additional funding and resources that support all students and schools.

Meal reminder: A required component of a complete breakfast and lunch is ½ cup of fruit or vegetables, which must be taken with the meal for it to be free of charge.

Find menus, meal information, and more details about what qualifies as a free meal on our website, https://www.fraser.k12.mi.us/programs/food-service.

6th Grade Students Set Goals for Success 6th Grade Students Set Goals for Success

Our 6th grade students have been learning the importance of setting meaningful goals and creating a plan to achieve them. Students were introduced to the idea that a goal is something you aim for with a specific result you want to accomplish.

During our goal-setting lessons, students learned that effective goals should be specific, measurable, achievable, and connected to a realistic timeline. They discussed the importance of knowing exactly what they want to accomplish, setting a deadline, and being able to recognize when the goal has been achieved.

Students were taught a step-by-step process for reaching their goals: set the goal, break it down into manageable steps, and monitor progress along the way. By breaking larger goals into smaller steps, students can make progress while staying motivated and accountable.

We explored examples of goals across many areas of students' lives, including math, ELA, personal and life goals, community involvement, extracurricular activities, and making new friends. This helped students understand that goal setting is a valuable skill that can be used both inside and outside of the classroom.

To help students identify areas for growth, we used information from their STAR Testing results, math and ELA exit tickets, and Reflex results. Students were able to use this data to better understand their current performance and identify specific areas where they can improve.

Our goal is to help students become confident, independent learners who understand that success doesn't happen all at once. With a clear goal, a realistic plan, consistent effort, and regular monitoring, students can make meaningful progress toward achieving what they set out to accomplish.

The bell to start the school day rings at 8:30 a.m. We have had a problem with many students arriving late to school. This not only affects the student who is tardy, but also has an impact on the rest of the classroom. Many important events take place at the beginning of the school day. When a student arrives late, they are missing out on important classroom assignments as well as important announcements. They also interrupt the learning environment for the rest of the students. Please make every effort to assure your student starts the day off in positive way by getting them to school on time.

We have also have an increasing number of students leaving early daily. We dismiss at 3:30 PM unless otherwise noted. Students withdrawn early also miss on daily instruction and interventions. They also disrupt the learning environment. Please make every effort to schedule appointments outside the school day. We want to make sure all of our students are learning. Once we reach 3:15 we may not be able to dismiss your student early. With the many moving parts at the end of the school day, it is not always possible to redirect a student to the office at that time.
