Need to Know Need to Know

No School - Labor Day

No School on September 7th in honor of Labor Day.

School Lunch Account

We want to ensure every child is well fed and happy at school. Please be mindful to keep money loaded on your child's myschoolbucks account for breakfast and lunch. The school has to fund children's meals once accounts start getting into the negative. If you need financial assistance, please visit this county link to apply for aid.

SES Lambert Connected Homecoming Parade

We are excited to share an upcoming opportunity for our students to engage with the Lambert Community and participate in the Lambert Homecoming Parade on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The theme of this year’s event is “Sea to Shining Sea.” This is a staff-and-student-only event, and we encourage all staff and students to dress in red, white, and blue for the occasion. Our front entrance will not be accessible on this day from 9:30-11:30. We encourage you to schedule any appointments requiring an early pick-up to occur after 11:30 or on a different date. If an appointment needing an early checkout is unavoidable, the guardian will need to park in the back lot. We will have a staff member stationed there to help with check out. Additionally, the high schoolers will be handing out candy as part of the parade. If you would prefer that your student not have any candy, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.

Transportation Change

When you need to change transportation for your child during the day, please be sure to send an email by 1:15 pm to SES-SHARONATTENDANCE@FORSYTH.K12.GA.US to allow us sufficient time to process the change request and communicate with the teachers. Thank you for your help in this matter

Previous Information

Birthday Book Stars

Sharon Elementary’s Birthday Book Star program is what funds our ability to offer our students at least one author visit each year. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to celebrate your child’s birthday while contributing to our school library! If you'd like to participate, go to SchoolPay.com to register your child. During your child's birth month, they choose a brand-new library book and help decide where to place a dedication label inside the book. They also have their picture taken, with their chosen book, and their birthday star hangs on our hallway bulletin board, outside the library, all month. At the end of the month, the star is sent home with your child.

Payment

  • Sign-up for SchoolPay for clubs, fieldtrips, etc.
  • Sign-up for School Bucks for breakfast and lunch payments

Fifth Grade Bundle

Fifth grade is a major milestone, and we want to make sure our Sharon Elementary students finish strong with memories that last a lifetime.

The Sharon Elementary PTO will be organizing several fun, meaningful events to celebrate our 5th graders all year long. But with limited district funding that doesn’t cover these extras, we rely on support from our families to make it all happen.

To streamline planning and ensure every student can take part, we’re asking each fifth grader to contribute a $60 activity fee for the year. It covers:

  • A custom 5th Grade T-Shirt
  • 5th Grade Breakfast
  • Winter Luncheon
  • Graduation Lunch
  • Knight Nation Send-Off (End-of-the-Year Celebration)
  • Graduation Facility Use

Spirit Nights

Each month, PTO has at least 1 Spirit Night where we partner with a local restaurant or venue. A portion of food and activity sales go back towards the PTO to help fund and support our school, students, teachers, administration and staff. We hope to see you there!

Mark your calendars, Red Robin Spirit Night will be on September 17th!
