Third Grade Needs your Help!

Last year, Mrs. Bennington & Mrs. Chestnut raised money/donations for each child in 3rd grade at Lena Dunn to receive a college sweatshirt to tie in with our Kids At Hope philosophy.

This year, the Third Grade teachers at Washington Intermediate and Washington Veale are teaming together to try to gift EVERY third grade student in our corporation with a college sweatshirt for Christmas!

We are asking for your help; whether it be purchasing a college sweatshirt or donating money towards the purchase of a college sweatshirt. It can be any college! We would greatly appreciate this - as we have a total of 164 third graders this year!

Please contact me, Mrs. Jordan Bennington, or any third grade teacher in our corporation (Ms. Jessie Butcher, Mrs. Patty Allen, Mrs. Melissa Chestnut, Mrs. Kelsey Elsey, Mrs. Amy Hixson, Ms. Kristen Lafollette, and Mrs. Chelsea Travelstead) if you would like to donate. If you want to just go ahead and buy the college sweatshirt and deliver it to us, we will give you a size we are needing. We would really like to have the college sweatshirts in our hands by Friday, December 2, 2022.

Oh and p.s.

This is a secret; don't tell the kids!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Mrs. Jordan Bennington

Become a Foster Parent

Right now, there are more than 35 Daviess County children in foster care. Over 15 of these children are placed outside of Daviess County. The Indiana Department of Child Services depends on people like you to offer foster children a safe and loving home within their county. Children of all ages – but especially older youth and sibling groups – need a place to stay while in the foster care system. Learn more about becoming a foster parent at Indianafostercare.org or contact the Daviess County DCS office at 812-254-0024 to speak to a Foster Care Specialist.
