Principal's Corner

Dear Ditson Families,

Welcome to March! It is excited to realize that there are only 6 more days until Daylight Savings and 18 more days until the first day of Spring! With that, the weather is warming which allows us to be outside more often for recess! Please know that with that, the playgrounds are still snow-covered, but we do utilize the hot tops in both the large playground and the front circle. Last Friday was our first day outside in a very long time and students and staff alike were happy to be breathing in the fresh air!

We have many exciting events coming to both our school and the district as you will see below. Please join us whenever you are able!

On February 13th, Ditson classrooms paired up to celebrate Valentine's Day and meet their Val Pals. Students read stories to each other and did crafts to celebrate the holiday.

The BMHS Robotics Team is hosting the Minuteman District event on March 7th and 8th at BMHS. Doors will open at 10 am each day.

The annual Student Council vs Staff Volleyball game is sure to be a big hit once again. Get your tickets early to secure a seat at this exiciting event! The link for tickets is at the bottom of the flyer.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-2027 School Year

Online registration for Kindergarten will open on March 1. We have two in-person registration days where parents who would like some support with the registration process may come in person. Those dates are Monday, March 2 from 3-6 PM and Friday, March 6 from 8-11 AM in the Town Hall Auditorium. Details are available on our website.

Join us Tuesday, March 31 (6:00–7:30 PM) for a fun, family cultural sharing night! Families can sign up to host a table in the cafeteria to share posters, artifacts, food, clothing, traditions, and more (up to $30 reimbursement for supplies). This is not a drop-off event—students will visit tables and get their celebration passports stamped.
