Deer Run Families,
As we come to the close of another wonderful school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support, partnership, and trust. It has truly been a joy to work alongside you in supporting our students.
This year has been filled with growth, achievement, and meaningful moments. We are so proud of all that our students have accomplished: academically, socially, and emotionally. Watching them learn, grow, and thrive has been the highlight of our year.
Thank you for being such an important part of the Deer Run community. Your involvement and encouragement make a lasting impact on our students and school.
We wish you and your family a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall!

Deer Run Updates
New School Hours for 2026-27 School Year
Dublin City Schools will adjust elementary and high school start and dismissal times for the 2026-27 school year. Middle school times will remain the same. These updates are intended to improve transportation reliability, maintain consistent instructional time, and create a more efficient district-wide schedule. The added time between bus routes is expected to reduce delays and improve on-time performance. The earlier high school schedule will also better support students attending Tolles Career & Technical Center by allowing more time for travel, instruction, and lunch.
New School Hours
Elementary: 9:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Middle: 8:28 a.m. – 3:08 p.m. (no change)
High School: 7:45 a.m. – 2:35 p.m.

Incoming 6th Grade School Supply Kits for the 2026-2027 School Year!
School Supply Kits for the 2026-2027 School Year!
I know that many of us are trying to get through this school year, but we have finalized our school supply kits for each grade level for the 26-27 school year. Our teachers worked directly with 1st Day School Supplies to build this year’s lists. That means when you order, you are getting exactly what your child’s teacher requested. No substitutions. No second-guessing. It is a simple, organized way to start the school year confident and prepared.
This is one of our big fundraisers for our PTO and the money earned goes right back to our students and Grizzell! The kits are delivered to Grizzell and families can pick those up in August during our 6th grade orientation, grade level walkthroughs, or other times before the start of school. All orders must be placed by July 1st!
PLANNERS: A paper planner will not be a part of either grade level kits next year. The 6th grade will be utilizing and referencing paper planners and Grizzell will purchase those for incoming 6th graders. The 7th & 8th grade teams see students utilizing a variety of organizational strategies both hard copy and digital. If your student plans to use a paper planner for 7th or 8th grade, you will need to purchase that prior to the start of next school year. Order here.

MAP Assessment Data
The MAP assessments allow us to measure student achievement and academic growth over time. Students participate in the MAP Reading and MAP Math assessments during designated benchmark windows throughout the year (Reading: Grades 2-8, Math: Grades 1-8). The MAP 2-5 and MAP 6+ assessments allow us to identify students as gifted in the areas of math and/or reading. MAP scores in the 95th-99th percentile meet the Ohio Department of Education requirements for gifted identification. Students scoring in the range for a gifted identification on the MAP assessment will be supported in their regular classroom setting through high-quality, differentiated instruction. Spring MAP results are now visible to parents in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Additional information about MAP can be found here.
